DrFishfinder Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 What????......didn't appreciate the Firesign Theatre reference? That's some pretty high praise, buster.
Nervous Guy Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 What????......didn't appreciate the Firesign Theatre reference? That's some pretty high praise, buster. nope...that one flew right over my head.
GoodBye Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Warmest June on record?? Huh?? Guess they didn't spend time in Oregon during their research. I don't think it got over 70 degrees all month... It was one of the coldest months on record here.
Hossage Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Every other year they say it is the hottest ever, and they have been doing so for 20 years. Its because they fudge the data, compare it to other fudgey data, and make lengthy pronouncements that are also total B.S.
DrFishfinder Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 nope...that one flew right over my head. Not a problem. Don't crush that dwarf, hand me the pliers.
meazza Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Global warming may be a concern of hers, but gravity is by far the bigger problem she will face! Don't worry. Global warming will make her implants explode.
DC Tom Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I am neither "left" nor "right" I don't buy into "climate is going to hell and it's all man's fault" and I wholly support innovation regarding alternative energy sources...what does that make me? When I say the same, it makes me a Republican shill...
DC Tom Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Undeniably the planet is warmer than it was 500+ years ago when Columbus was sailing through the Atlantic as tiny islands that were able to be landed on are now buried underwater as the sea level has risen considerably. Of course, 500 years ago we were in the middle of a period known as the Little Ice Age because it was abnormally cool. So saying the planet is warmer now compared to an abnormally cool period hardly proves abnormal warming, does it?
Magox Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 When I say the same, it makes me a Republican shill... Yeah well, according to Conner....
Jim in Anchorage Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Warmest June on record?? Huh?? Guess they didn't spend time in Oregon during their research. I don't think it got over 70 degrees all month... It was one of the coldest months on record here. Same in Alaska. Must be on the wrong end of the pendulum.
boyst Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 In December, when they say it was the coldest November of all time, will this thread be bumped to the top? By the way, this past winter was one of the coldest in the last 40 years in this part of NC. I'd find a link or some realy right leaning weather guy from WGHP Fox 8, but I'd be laughed at...but I am being serious. It was reported in harvesting reports here, that's the only reason I know about it. It was also very wet.
Jim in Anchorage Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 . You're one to talk about stupid posts. Have you come up with a reason why AK-47's are necessary for society yet. It's only been over 4 years. . Better yet give us your reasons for banning them. This will be a fascinating read. Still waiting.
billsfan89 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Weather isn't Climate and climate isn't weather. Not coming on either side of this debate BUT just like snow storms don't debunk global warming well heat waves don't prove it either.
The Senator Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Meanwhile, Al Gore is jet-setting all over the place and gobbling up fossil fuel faster than you can say, "Enrich Mahmoud Ahmadinijad!"
Nervous Guy Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 When I say the same, it makes me a Republican shill... That's because...and I say this with the utmost respect and admiration....you're a dick.
DC Tom Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 That's because...and I say this with the utmost respect and admiration....you're a dick. Oh, stop it. I'm getting all misty-eyed.
Nervous Guy Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Oh, stop it. I'm getting all misty-eyed. This is why I admire you.

It was one of the coldest months on record here. The results of global warming are local temperature extremes. More rain, more drought, more snow, more storms, more heat, more cold. The term "global warming" refers to the average temperature of the whole planet. Local weather patterns will vary.
