keepthefaith
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/69384 Does this guy follow through with anything that he says? This really shows you how full of **** he is. When you make a statement that you won't do something that is of high visibility to a lot of people and then you turn around and do it, you are really showing a lack of respect toward those people. It's one thing if you explain yourself, but he won't and yes it's typical of politicians.

But consider: The federal money in question is a grant given by HHS funding a specific state insurance pool, of which only one service is abortion, being a legal medical procedure under the law. So Obama is supposed to do...what, exactly? Tell Sebilius not to give PA any money? Tell PA to stop offering abortions, in violation of current law? It's not that Obama's "going back" on his word. He simply never had any sort of power to enforce it to begin with.

Where this may mitigate his role to some extent, it doesn't change the fact that he said unequivocally that no federal funds would be used to fund abortions. Regardless of your politics in the matter or how it transpired, the federal funds are being used to fund abortions. Either he went back on his word, or his word wasn't worth much to begin with. Either way, it says you can't trust the words that come out of his mouth.

buffaloaggie
Not that I'm an Obama fan (I'm not), but we're using a CNS News website as a credible source? No slant at all there. Obama is just another politician with his own agenda, what a surprise! Kind of figured that one out on his election night when they started running the ads talking about healthcare as the biggest problem, meanwhile, everyone's jobs continued to be shipped overseas and our tax base continued to shrink.
