H2o Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5377014 "It's almost like I didn't play last year," he lamented. Some would say for all the plays he took off, and gave half-effort on, this is true.
MaineMoxie Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Yeah, he did give half-effort on a lot of plays. But I do feel that all the talk about him losing a step is unwarranted at the moment. It drives me nuts that people don't realize how much a receiver's stats depend on the quarterback. If a QB is getting sacked, throwing INTs, or checking down all the time, how does that necessarily mean the receiver's skills are in decline?

His numbers from last year have absolutely nothing to do with him being unemployed. He had, actually, pretty decent numbers. I'm sure owners know, in a better offense, the numbers would've been better. This is strictly about his attitude. But this was another opportunity to go off on his former teammates, and he didn't. Good for him. I hope he finds work, and I'm pretty sure he will.
Roc Bronson Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Owens is a great talent indeed, yet his past actions are greater then his talent. I do believe he will be sign by the Raiders durin or after training camp, but I don't see a top team signing him because of his past and the media.. Hey the past has a tendency to come back and bite you in the ass. But I'm a fan and wish him the best...
