Brandon
I never had any faith or hope in this administration to begin with. I always expected this bunch to be horrible and in that respect, they haven't disappointed.
cantankerous
Sure, blame GWB. I can't believe that you can't just agree that our government (Republican and Democrat) needs to stop spending. Saying that GWB spent a lot doesn't make it right for Obama to spend more. It just has to STOP. Absolutely. Republican and democratic parties were created to make people feel like they have a side, when in reality they are the fu-king same! They are ALL douche bags! ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! The_Philster
Haven't lost faith, but he hasn't performed up to expectations as of yet The fact he hasn't launched WWIII like that psycho McCain would've likely done is a positive in my book, though

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! sad, and truthful. I think that this admininstration has done a little better than the previous. However, it was safe to say 2 years ago that he can only deliver so much before the people realize that he is not able to do everything. I think that his heart in the right place and demonstrates commitment to the job by taking less time off than every other president since Carter. That all said, Obama is powerless unless his party starts passing legislation to fix the issue like they were elected to do.
/dev/null
I'll go one step further. I believe that the president and vice president should be from different parties. Let 'em duke it out instead of waltzing around all kissy-face. Why? I don't remember the exact quote, but it goes something like this... The role of the Vice President is to get up in the morning and read the obituaries to make sure the President is still alive

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! this i can agree with beyond anything else discussed in politics. and is largely the reason i dont participate. a 2 party system is really a 1 party system. The last few elections, I couldn't...I just voted for the lesser of two evils the first election i was able to vote in was 2000. when i voted for Gore, and Gore won, and the election was then stolen. it was at that moment that it became clear what a joke the entire political system is. i now live in Georgia. had i voted in the last election, i wouldve voted for Obama. but thanks to the electoral college, my vote would have been changed and gone to McCain anyways, so why bother? Americans are too busy hating the "other guy" to realize what is really going on. A good friend of mine had a long talk with Lawton Chiles (2 time Governor of Florida) a number of years ago. Chiles told him that politicians at that level are so handcuffed with paying back the people that get you elected that it is virtually impossible to get some of the things done that you want to get done and stop some of the things you want to stop. It is simply the way that politics runs. He told my friend about a couple of specific instances where he wanted to get things done but couldn't, and wanted to stop things but couldn't. Sobering stuff. And this isn't a Democrat/Republican issue, it's a politics issue. Sometimes I think the system exists simply to continue to exist. /dev/null
Let's run Beerball for President. Beerball is running . If Beerball wins, he's going to get to appoint people to really cool jobs. DC Tom
Sometimes I think the system exists simply to continue to exist. That's certainly the case for a lot of federal bureaucracy. At some point, it exists simply to justify its own existence. I can't recall the last time I saw a government agency that couldn't have had its head count trimed by at least 30%. (And I expect someone will bring up how many programs are understaffed. And they usually are...in the field. Most are overstaffed with useless paper-pushers.) I don't have any exact or inside information, but there is always the question of "What do you do with that 30% who will now be out of a job?" I would opine that it is probably a matter of the path of least resistance at the gummint level to "keep feeding the monster."

C.Biscuit97
This is why I hate talking politics. People just female dog to female dog. I don't give a crap who the President was, Obama or McCain. If you expected either guy to clean up the complete clusterF#ck of the last administration in 2 years, you're an unreasonable moron. Talk to me in 2 more years. Until then, stop whining like 12 year old girls or start saying what you're doing to help the country.
