Corp000085
Anyone mention Robert Johnson? I remember reading an article some years ago where Jimmy Page was listening to a Robert Johnson recording and he asked who the other guy was playing with him. He was shocked to hear that it was one guy playing.   And since we're not limited to rock and roll, how about some love for Mozart and Beethoven? I'm sure that 99% of you know, but Beethoven wrote his major works while deaf.  I especially love his 9th symphony. Written while he was a) completely deaf b) totally drunk c) dying of syphilis  Dude was drunk, insane, and totally friggin deaf when he wrote this. There's 6 more clips after this one if you're interested in the whole thing.   *I can't stress this enough, the dude couldn't hear what he was writing. rockpile
Impossible to name them all. Â John Lennon, George Harrison, Keith Moon, John Entwhistle, Richard Manuel, and Rick Danko hit me pretty hard, from three of my favorite bands. Â Lots of memories on this thread. Well Tommy Johnson sold his soul at the crossroads in Clarksdale before Robert Johnson.
