SageAgainstTheMachine
234 years ago today, our nation was born (or 11 score and 14, for our lincoln enthusiasts). No matter what your political beliefs are, your level of trust/distrust in the current administration, or past administration, or administrations before that, no matter which pundits you listen to, no matter what you think of the economy....please take this day to remember that we live in the greatest country on earth, and it's because of the people. Rex Ryan's Lapband
Kudos. Amongst the beers and hotdogs, the fireworks and partying, it's nice to remember that this day is to remember the men who signed their own death warrant, had the Revolution turned out different. When the signers of the Declaration pledged to one another their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor, they weren't merely being verbose. They knew there was no turning back. They had at that point, dissolved the political bonds that tie one people to another. The sacrifices that we're made, by these few brave souls, and the souls of those who took up arms to march with them, should never be forgotten. God bless these men, and the Liberty that their sacrifices purchased. May we extend to our posterity, the freedoms that have been extended to us. God Bless the USA. Jim in Anchorage
Amen . . . and remember to fly your flag . . . and if you don't have one; shame on you. Year round in my yard on a proper flag pole. Lighted at night.
