Steely Dan Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Linky Portsmouth man marks 154th arrest with latest theft charge By Geoff Cunningham Jr. gcunningham@fosters.com Thursday, July 1, 2010 ...His May 2009 arrest in Portsmouth for hitting a man in the face in Market Square came a week after he finished serving a one-year jail term for stealing a $1.99 can of beer. Baldwin's repeated convictions on theft charges have resulted in recent ones being brought as felonies. During previous court hearings, Portsmouth police said Baldwin's criminal record and interactions with police date back to 1984 and include eight trespass orders, 75 citations, four different Social Security aliases and 17 different name aliases. In May of 2008 during an arraignment on theft charges, Baldwin repeatedly noted he didn't want a lawyer and told Portsmouth District Court Judge Sawako Gardner: "I've been in this court more than you have." Baldwin has been arrested for everything from theft and criminal mischief to indecent exposure and stalking. Seriously!! How can someone have 154 arrests and not be in prison for life. No SERIOUSLY!!! :wallbash: Those arrests are not for stupid things. It's amazing that no judge has decided to put an end to this. How the **** is this idiot getting paroled!!!
boyst Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Dontae Morris has a rap sheet over 14 pages long and was still a free man. He shot and killed two Tampa Police officers at point blank range. He or his girlfriend, whomever was driving, than proceeded to drive over the body of one of the slain officers. He turned himself in the other night, sadly I was hoping he would be shot and killed instead. He was being pulled over for a forged check...the officer did not realize the level of violence this scum bag carried... Why does an animal like this monster prowl the streets?

Hossage Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 All he needs is love, love, love is all he needs. Maybe there is a reason he keeps getting off. Is he an excellent informant?
KD in CA Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Because gutless turds continue to whine about "police brutality" and think that every thug can "turn their life around".
UConn James Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 It's catch-and-release that keeps the lawyers and courts in business.
BuffaloBill Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I was on a jury deciding a drug sale offense involving a repeat offender. We were not told of his history as the presumption was it would lead to an automatic finding of guilt in his most recent offense. With that said each offense generally has a prescribed range of jail time. Therefore judges may not be able to take into account the guys history.

Thanks to the people who elect the gutless turds who enact such rules.
