Cookiemonster Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Next year with replacement players. It wouldn't matter to me, I would prefer to win it with regular players, but you know the old saying, "a win is a win" I don't belive that there would be an asterik or something like that next to it, all of the teams would be competeing with in the same framework, so it would still be an accomplishment. Maybe I am just desperate, any thoughts?
The Tomcat Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Yes, thats desperate.....I don't think I'd feel the same as if regular players were playing. Even if we won, we wouldn't if you know what I mean.

Cookiemonster Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Do you really believe that all of next year will be played with replacements? Well Nucch, if you listen to the players and the pundits out there, all of them are saying that at this point, there is a 100 % chance of a lockout, so yeah, I do belive this. There is just so much separation, that it would almost take a miracle at this point, for it not to happen. Never mind changing the subject, just answer the damn question!
Cookiemonster Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 I will survive.... Gloria, Gloria Gaynor, I presume, is that you, what are you doing on a Bill's site?
Snorom Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 are you kidding I wouldn't get any satisfaction of a superbowl win with replacement players... Notta kind of like the non-satisfaction I felt when the bandits were winning championships..Notta zip

Notta kind of like the non-satisfaction I felt when the bandits were winning championships..Notta zip Please tell me how you really feel! I am not making a case one way or the other, besides, even though it would be a strike year, the NFL wouldn't let it happen. They hate us!
Buffalonian-at-Heart Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Please tell me how you really feel! I am not making a case one way or the other, besides, even though it would be a strike year, the NFL wouldn't let it happen. They hate us! So you want us to give you our thoughts about a far fetched idea the NFL will never let happen anyway?
DrFishfinder Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I would lockout my regular feelings and substitute scab replacement feelings instead.
Cookiemonster Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 So you want us to give you our thoughts about a far fetched idea the NFL will never let happen anyway? Yes, that is what this board is all about, did u think that I would take anybody's posts here seriously! Are not all of the posts speculative? The idea of a strike season with replacement players is not far fetched at all, I mean there is precedent, now the part about the Bills winning the super bowl, granted, that is far fetched.
Cookiemonster Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 I would lockout my regular feelings and substitute scab replacement feelings instead. Now you are crossing a line!
The Big Cat Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 So long as Shane Falco is the QB, I'd be happy. fire up the fog machine
bartshan-83 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I think its a really good question. My gut says no, I wouldn't be nearly as excited if we won a Super Bowl with replacement players. But then I don't really know why. The only reason I can think of would be because the whole season wouldn't seem real and we wouldn't really be watching the highest level of competition. But then again, it boils down to the Bills winning a Super Bowl.
Meathead Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 when the bills finally win a superbowl im gonna pop a wheelie in my wheelchair, spit out my teeth, wash a handful of viagra down with a case of redbull metamucil, and go out with my flag flying at full mast and my hands full of retirement home candy stripers
Marv's Neighbor Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 when the bills finally win a superbowl im gonna pop a wheelie in my wheelchair, spit out my teeth, wash a handful of viagra down with a case of redbull metamucil, and go out with my flag flying at full mast and my hands full of retirement home candy stripers Man you really have a plan! I don't know how I'd feel, BECAUSE IT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!

Sorry, did not mean to upset you. No, it would not feel the same to me winning a SB with replacement players.
Sblesq Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I would only be happy if the replacement Bills included Ira Albright, who as some may recall after failing with the Bills as a FB "expanded" and returned to the team during the '87 strike as a NT. On 2nd thought, if he's continued to "expand" perhaps he is the solo solution to the O-Line problem
