So Vick's D-bag cousin that he is under specific orders to not be around, shows up to a party where he is not invited, most likely makes a scene when asked to leave because he isn't supposed to be there and gets shot by someone (not Vick, because I doubt he is THAT stupid), yet it is Vick's fault that the guy showed up in the first place to make a scene and try to ruin Vick's life even more?

oh yeah, the dude should definitely be placed under house arrest for the rest of his life and not be allowed to see anyone, much less play football again

Rules are different when you are on probation, as Vick is with the NFL.

A man has to be able to live his life without rules that some idiot like you define for him.

:wallbash:B-) What an ignorant fool with such a$$ -wipe logic that is totally out of touch and inconsistence with the situation that Vick created for himself, and now has to live by “those rules” You’re a fool.

I am aware of that, but I fail to see how he is responsible for someone showing up to a public place and harassing him. He did not willingly go near his cousin (Therefore, shouldnt be a violation of probation since it was beyond his control no matter how much security).

And as far as the shooting goes, theres probably a lot more behind it that we will never know. If Vick told whoever to get him out of here and shoot him if you need to, then ok ban him. But if, as seems more likely, the guy was asked to leave then "escorted" out of the place, and then continued to be insubordinate, then I dont see how Vick could be held accountable except for the fact he was in the same place

I agree also but in the eyes of the NFL perception could be more important that reality.

We need to find out what type of cake it was.

Man, do I love a good, hearty slice of carrot cake.

I dont know whether Vick or the guy with a hole in his leg is telling the truth. I will reserve judgment, because I dont have a dog in this fight.

I'm not sure who shot the guy or the circumstances that led up to it, but it sounds more and more like the guy was ticked off because Vick has basically resumed his life. In his "hate" he went to the party, even though I'm sure he was fully aware he was not welcome, just to start trouble. I guess you could say it backfired.

If that's really the case, then I have to give some credit to Vick for not reacting to getting cake smashed in his face.

I once gave a guy cement shoes for smashing cake in MY face. B-)

Wow, he got cake-faced and turned the other cheek! Clearly he's a new man. Trade Schobel for him now! Someone get on the horn with Buddy...

Just imagine the level of restraint required of a human being to not shoot someone for throwing cake!!

Someone get the Nobel Prize people on the phone!!!

What he said and to add; The rules are defined by Roger Goodell.

Goodell could/should suspend him based on Vick "needing to make better choices" and avoiding situations that look bad, even though they may not be.

Posted
Those rules didn't include not having a 30th birthday party in a public place.

They DID include staying out of situations where bad stuff might happen. This might well have been one of those. We won't know till all the details come out, though.

Take your own advice. The latest news implicates him.

http://www.dailypress.com/sports/michaelvi...0,5088963.story

Leaving three minutes BEFORE the shooting happened implicates him? Um, how?

It appears to implicate him in making some wrong statements about timing, but that sounds fairly reasonable, what with obviously not knowing exactly when the shooting happened, what with not having been there.

Again, we don't know everything yet, but this doesn't implicate him.
