Magox Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I am going to head into the bar myself! !@#$ yeah! where are you? Im heading to a bar myself, here in La Paz, Bolivia
linksfiend Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 There's just no excuse for losing this match tomorrow. Some ESPN computer analysis they were scrolling during the Uruguay game claims Ghana has a 51.3% chance of winning.
linksfiend Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Of course what he doesn't realize is our good athletes switch to other sports as soon as they realize those other sports will get them laid. Too true.
linksfiend Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 USA Bob Bradley kinda lays into soccer floppers. Says there should be punishment for them. I agree Bob!!! Absolutely. It really churns my stomach sometimes. It's very hard to defend a sport where players being dishonest, having no integrity, and cheating is so widely accepted.
Arkady Renko Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 For those wondering about increasing interest in this country: http://goal.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/24/u...mbers-for-espn/
Doc Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 There's always increasing interest around the World Cup. Then it plummets.
Arkady Renko Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 There's always increasing interest around the World Cup. Then it plummets. That's ignoring the fact that there this increased interest in THIS World Cup versus others.
ajzepp Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 That's ignoring the fact that there this increased interest in THIS World Cup versus others. Damn right....it's an avg of 2.6 this year up from 1.8 four years ago? That's absolutely HUGE, and it definitely supports the point that the soccer audience is growing steadily in this country. That's almost a 50% rate of growth in only four years! The ESPN/ABC contract is huge....HUGE, I TELL YA!
Ramius Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Any reason why Feilhaber isn't in the lineup? I thought he played excellently last game off the bench. Is he simply more of an offensive threat?
joey greco Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Well we'd lose the marvelous Ricardo Clark if we were to play a competent midfielder. Why that garbage keeps appearing in the lineup when there are so many better options I'll never understand. The England goal was directly attributable to him too. Torres is the guy that should have been there all tournament.
Ramius Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 One more WC question, regarding the yellow cards. Is it 2 yellows in consecutive games gets you the boot for the next one, or is it 2 yellows in the entire tournament gets you the boot?
Dan Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 One more WC question, regarding the yellow cards. Is it 2 yellows in consecutive games gets you the boot for the next one, or is it 2 yellows in the entire tournament gets you the boot? I was wondering that same thing. Anyone? Also, why don't they substitute more? Maybe I'm just thinking hockey. But, it seems alot of fresh legs would really help. Is there a limit on the number of substitutions?
Ramius Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I was wondering that same thing. Anyone? Also, why don't they substitute more? Maybe I'm just thinking hockey. But, it seems alot of fresh legs would really help. Is there a limit on the number of substitutions? I believe you are limited to 3 subs for the game.
Dan Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I believe you are limited to 3 subs for the game. Interesting, that sucks. Thanks!
Ramius Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 What a shocker, a Ghana player needs his tampon changed.
LewPort71 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Yellow cards ....consecutive matches... Subs. 3 per match in FIFA international matches. Way back 'when', there were no subs... New name for the US National team. Team Shovel....since they continually dig themselves a deep hole in their matches.
McBeane Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I was wondering that same thing. Anyone? Also, why don't they substitute more? Maybe I'm just thinking hockey. But, it seems alot of fresh legs would really help. Is there a limit on the number of substitutions? It is 2 yellow cards at all and you are suspended for the next game. I may be wrong here, but I thought they reset after the group stage. And yes, only 3 subs per team per game.
LewPort71 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Feilhaber in to start second half. Now let's get two goals in the next 45 minutes
