plenzmd1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 no nothing bout soccer, looks like US went in playing for a tie..
Ramius Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Yawn. Someone should perhaps tell the US that the game has started.
LewPort71 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Mathematically a tie is OK... But the US needs a win... 13th minute ,, geesh go Algeria...
plenzmd1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Mathematically a tie is OK...But the US needs a win... 13th minute ,, geesh go Algeria... Like I said, i do not know much about soccer, but even this early I am thinking a tie is going to be a good result as they say.
Ramius Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 So, 30 minutes in, our offensive strategy is to bomb it down field and hope we can run under one, and the defensive strategy is to simply let Slovenia do whatever the hell they want.
Ramius Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Absolutely terrible call on the yellow card. It hits his face and thats an "intentional handball?" Too bad to see Finley's World Cup is over after today. But par for the course for international soccer. No rhyme or reason, lets just issue cards randomly.
plenzmd1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well, looks like my world cup soccer viewing experience is over LOL
Dr. Fong Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I just can't believe we can't get our **** together enough to take care of teams like Slovenia. In my uninformed opinion it's just pathetic.
PTS Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Wow. That was terrible. That looked like USA circa 1990. No creativity, no talent. They're much better than that.
KD in CA Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well that was fun while it lasted. See you in 2014.
stevestojan Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well that was fun while it lasted. See you in 2014. Only if the horns are banned
Ramius Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Wow. That was terrible. That looked like USA circa 1990. No creativity, no talent. They're much better than that. That's the issue. They're not any better. Every Cup, we're sold a bill of goods by soccer fans across the country, but we've come nowhere since 1990. We have 3 WC match wins since then. Thats it. 3. Good teams can win 3 matches every Cup. 2002 was our only decent year, and there's always a lower tier team that catches a break and advances farther than we should. It just happened to be us in '02.
meazza Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well that was fun while it lasted. See you in 2014. Games not over.
Ramius Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Wow. Who was that Donovan guy that just scored for us? I don't think i've ever seen him show up in a WC before.
meazza Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Games not over. Wow you're really good From now on, DON'T GET BURNED ON THE COUNTERATTACK.
Pete Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well, looks like my world cup soccer viewing experience is over LOL never give up! Donovan is on a mission!
stevestojan Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I can't imagine there's a single hockey player in the world who's a fan of soccer. Seriously, what a bunch of pussies. You hit your face on the ground. Do you A) Roll around like a 5 year old girl B) Get up and get back in the play

I agree he whined but the foul was clear.
