lmao, you must have ended up with a HUGE collection brah lol
They're just collecting dust... same with the DVDs, I've been getting rid of them... it'll take awhile and I'll take a big loss on most, but I'm only interested in BDs right now.

I know what you mean. I'm quite smitten with BDs, myself. It's hard to watch upscaled DVDs, although I do still do it from time to time.

You want to see an impressive BD? I just watched my first Steve McQueen film..."Bullit" What a ride! The transfer was very, very nice, and the sound wasn't half bad either. Of course, it has the famous car chase through San Fan, but even being over 40 years old, it still held up VERY well.

My next trip back in time will be to watch The African Queen. This film is being drooled over my reviewers for it's transfer, so I can't wait to fire up on the 133" widescreen.

I'm infatuated with old movies with great transfers lately...it makes films from the golden era seem so much more real to me, almost like I'm in a time machine.

BTW, anyone who has Netflix streaming, check out one of the greatest films of all time....The General, starring Buster Keaton. I have this in my queue and haven't watched it yet, but I did see a few clips and I was blown away! This guy is like a 1930s American Jackie Chan!

Gosh, how anyone can not love movies....

African Queen looks great projected... but watch the boat going thru the rapids, looks pretty damn fake when viewing at that size. The General is on BD too, very nice experience. I just watched A Fistful of Dollars & For A Few Dollars More, the first was meh quality (+ framing issues), the 2nd was really nice. Next "older flick" BDs I'm trying to find the time to watch are Stagecoach and Doctor Zhivago.
