stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I commit to ten bucks a week - 6 for the Pick Three box, 2 bucks for both days' MegaMillion draw, and now 2 bucks for a Powerball pick. What should I do with this windfall? I wish we had OTB like NY and PA - the odds of getting back your dough is generally 12 to 1.
Fezmid Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 You do realize that lotteries are a tax for the mathematically challenged, right?
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Buy an HTC Driod and let me know if they are worth it. What is a HTC Driod? Is that an article of clothing, or one of the myriad overpriced sneakers sold today?
Fezmid Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 What is a HTC Driod? Is that an article of clothing, or one of the myriad overpriced sneakers sold today? It's a phone.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 You do realize that lotteries are a tax for the mathematically challenged, right? Thank you Fez.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 It's a phone. Amazing that people would pay such an amount of money to bother other people and be bothered in return...
mead107 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 You could send it to me for my wine problem. Problem is I need to go out and get some.
Fezmid Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Amazing that people would pay such an amount of money to bother other people and be bothered in return... Yeah - my company bought my Blackberry and pays the monthly subscription - otherwise I wouldn't have one myself. Unfortunately, it's required for my job, so... As for the original question - why not go out for a really nice meal and save the rest?
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 You could send it to me for my wine problem. Problem is I need to go out and get some. I think the best wine has a convenient screw top and is served from a paper bag. Gallo Burgundy is a favorite, but it's a bit pricey.
mead107 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 If you do not want to send it to me, how about sending it to Scott for the tailgate party.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 As for the original question - why not go out for a really nice meal and save the rest? Nah - I can make better food than most any restaurant. Saving is always a good idea of course, but I want to spend this dough.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 If you do not want to send it to me, how about sending it to Scott for the tailgate party. Is that a charity organization?
BuffaloBud Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Is that a charity organization? You could sponsor me on my Pelotonia bike ride (www.pelotonia.org) this upcoming August.
HereComesTheReignAgain Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I have an authentic Losman throwback jersey you could purchase.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 You could sponsor me on my Pelotonia bike ride (www.pelotonia.org) this upcoming August. No. I'm (obviously) constantly in the hole by forking over cash for a State's lousy numbers game.
stuckincincy Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 I have an authentic Losman throwback jersey you could purchase. Nope - I own no graven images.
UConn James Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Why not put it in a flatscreen TV fund? A modest one.
Just Jack Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Send it to me, I'll invest it in my special scheme fund, and get you 10% profit each year.
The Dean Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I suggest you use it to tip your servers and bartenders.
