kota Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 They filed grievience on Jamarcus Russell. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-r...grievance052710 So the Raiders make poor decisions and then cut the guy. Now they want the money back? People wonder why players are always pushing for more money here is why. 1) Raiders didn't have to draft him. They should have known he was lazy. 2) they didn't have to rework his deal. 3) They didn't have to cut him. Give it up Al Davis.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 If this works can we sue Jauron for sucking so much?

SDS Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 They should definitely try to get their money back. When you sign for that much money there should be a reasonable expectation that you'll at least try to perform the job...

I tend to agree with you guys from an ethical standpoint…the very fact that he had a hard time staying at his playing weight is an indictment of his effort to be a professional football player. But if he didn't have a weight clause, then probably the Raiders are out of luck. Ethically Russell stole money from the Raiders. Legally he was probably entitled to do so.
