DC Tom Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 So Tom was your lab assistant? Now really...could you imagine me "assisting" anyone?
Booster4324 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Now really...could you imagine me "assisting" anyone? Fair enough, I withdraw my question.
/dev/null Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I just laugh with all of the Obama is ruining our country crap. Seriously, were your eyes open the years before he came into office? Was everything so perfect before? No. Fact of the matter is that he has done a good job so far in turning this country around. Things are turning around under his watch. You should give him credit, even though I know not one person here will. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/nabe-pegs...nk=MW_news_stmp http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405...s_whats_news_us Still waiting for pbills outrage... Can you post a link to your outrage over Harry Reid comparing opponents of the Health Care bill to supporters of slavery? Mass Governor Deval Patrick says it's Sedition So where's the outrage from pbills? Still waiting for pbills outrage...

Things are going swimmingly well. Productivity is up - which is one thing that moves markets. But of course you know that. Unemployment however, is a problem that this administration only seems to be able to attack through creating more government jobs.
PromoTheRobot Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Not sure what the problem is. He's saying that Obama's socialist manifesto is a big a threat as the Nazi's and Stalin were as far as quality and way of life and our political and economic system. Pretty much on point I keep asking this question and no one ever answers it: Name one...ONE right you had as an American citizen before Obama that you do not have today. PTR
Chef Jim Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I keep asking this question and no one ever answers it: Name one...ONE right you had as an American citizen before Obama that you do not have today. PTR The right to go through life without health insurance.
IDBillzFan Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 The right to go through life without health insurance. That doesn't work. You see, health insurance IS a right. So they're not taking a right away. They're giving you one. One you must pay for, or someone must pay for, whether they like it or not, lest they seize your incomes taxes, or property.

PromoTheRobot Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Oh I get it. I'm such a moran. Progress!!! I kid, Chef. But seriously, I am all for letting people go without health insurance, but only if they sign a form that says if they get sick or injured they will just go home and die. No showing up at the emergency room looking for a freebie. That's fair, isn't it? PTR

It's like walking into a restaurant and demanding a meal. Eating is a right isn't it?

Magox Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 A hospital not accepting a patient who is in a catastrophic situation would be inhumane. One way or another, the taxpayer is going to pay for a portion of some peoples hospital bills who don't have health insurance. Usually that cost gets passed on to the state and to other people's premiums, mainly towards corporations, since most of them are picking up the tab as it is anyways. I just think that this Health Insurance bill was a huge missed opportunity by the Obama administration to really try to put some effective health care cost cutting mechanisms. They concentrated too much on the health insurers (which is asinine considering that they are only responsible for the transfer of costs from health providers to patients), and should of came up with some intelligent, innovative ways of cutting costs inside the hospital and create meaningful wellness programs, promoting healthier living. Of course, with this approach, it would be more long term, and most likely wouldn't see the immediate benefits, but it actually would of gotten to the heart of the problem.
