Fezmid Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Some of my coworkers found that site many months ago, and challenged one of my employees to eat it. They all pitched in a few bucks to order it. The guy ate about 2/3 of it but wasn't able to finish the whole thing. We had the defib unit sitting next to him, just in case. They cut the rest of it up for others to try. It's REALLY tasty -- but you can only eat a couple of bites before the salt completely drains the liquid from your mouth. I think they'd make a great snack to leave out at a party, but it's definitely not for an entire meal.
Just Jack Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 Yea, I would never try to eat it all in one sitting, but I may order one, the site says theirs will keep for 45 days in the fridge.

Jim in Anchorage Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Bacon Explosion Those are wonderful picture's. Italian sausage on Bacon. Magnificent. One time I complained to someone I didn't care for chicken, found it tasteless, and it was suggested I bake it wrapped in bacon. Excellent idea, I ate the bacon and threw the chicken out.
bartshan-83 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Those pictures were amazing. Looking like a Bacon Parkay Floor! But $40 for the 1/2 deal??? And it's already been cooked so you're only getting a reheat job? Hmmmm...I dunno. I'd probably try to make one myself.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 That's just wee-todd-did in its fatty goodness. Definitely not kosher, good thing I'm not Jewish! I *heart* bacon, but I never have it.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I have only one thing to say about that. Elitist food-snob
The Dean Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I love me some bacon and sausage, but I'm with Chef on this one. I'll take a pass.

Chef Jim Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 You don't know what you're missing. I know what I'm missing. The extra 20lbs I had at the beggining of the year from eating **** like that.
Fezmid Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I know what I'm missing. The extra 20lbs I had at the beggining of the year from eating **** like that. Everything in moderation.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Everything in moderation. Moderation, in the context of that monstrosity, would probably be about 1 or 2 bites.
Chef Jim Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Everything in moderation. There is no such thing as moderation in a dish there is something that the main ingredient is fat wrapped in something were the main ingredient is fat.
Fezmid Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Moderation, in the context of that monstrosity, would probably be about 1 or 2 bites. You should go back and read my post on the subject: " It's REALLY tasty -- but you can only eat a couple of bites before the salt completely drains the liquid from your mouth. "

" Ah, I see. When you said "everything in moderation", I thought you were referring to your coworker who ate 2/3 of one. My mistake.
