Again, how does the SEC "defensive player of the year" go undrafted????

Maybe we got a steal, lets hope so.

Go Buddy, Go Chan, Go Bills.

He was part of Rivals's All-UDFA team right after the draft.

BUZZ: Coleman led the SEC with 10 sacks in '09 and had 24.5 in his career, which helped him earn some all-league honors. But his lack of height (he's 6-1) and so-so ability against the run led most NFL teams to think he only could be an outside linebacker in a 3-4 set. Given that he never has played linebacker and has no coverage skills, drafting him was seen as too big a risk.

Looked like a great pick up to me too.

All the "LBs" on this roster have a lot to prove in OTAs and pre-season.

Not a surprise. I mean, after two Heisman winners go undrafted (correctly as it turned out), an SEC defensive player of the year should definitely not surprise.

Jason White and Charlie Ward both won Heismans, both went undrafted and both didn't make a career in the NFL. And Coleman wasn't drafted for much the same reason, because while extremely well-suited for the college game, he doesn't look suited for the NFL.

As you say, though, let's hope he defies expectations and carves out a great career.

I see Buggs and Harris making the team, I thought Corto was being converted to safety? Ellison I would guess will be out but has plenty of heart, could see him on another team. Ellis? anyones guess at this point, hope he would step up.
