mob16151 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 That is why I questioned the pop-up bit. You might be surprised how many people do not realize what a pop-up window is. Really? Thats just kinda sad that some people cant tell what a pop up is.
Booster4324 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Really? Thats just kinda sad that some people cant tell what a pop up is. Seriously. Good God, I deal with people like this constantly. I am not even in an IT position really, but the amount of ignorance is staggering.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Well......this is a first....any other wallers getting the Buffalo Bills pitch for 2010 season tickets as a pop up ad? No but I have been getting a survey that pops up all the time, claiming to be a TBD.com survey?!?
SDS Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I have never authorized pop-up ads and when our ad people include them, I immediately tell them to opt-out of those and all future pop up ads. You need to be specific about the page, the ad, and the circumstances befor eI can diagnose the issue.
SDS Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 No but I have been getting a survey that pops up all the time, claiming to be a TBD.com survey?!? We are not running any surveys. Please take a screen shot and send me a PM.

zonabb Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Just got it as I came into this thread! And yes, I've been getting it for a few days now. Annoying and a waste of time and money trying to sell season tickets to people who are already likely to buy them. Maybe the ads should be floated on some other non-Bills related sites. It's like trying to sell bibles at a Catholic Church... everyone already has one.. or ten!
Booster4324 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot Thank you. I know how to take screenshots, but my company wiki has been sitting at 299 pages for over a week. That will fit nicely in my computers for dummies section. After I rework it of course.
l< j Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I just got a popup ad while on the tbd home page, a safecount.net invite to take a survey that crawled from left to right across my screen. I saved a screenshot but don't know where to upload it to share. This is for the management's info only, as they may be interested, and not a complaint. I understand the need to generate revenue through ads. kj
