I already put him on PPP. You should get out more.

"get out more"? This coming from the guy who, when in high school organized the "anti-prom".

I'm guessing I get out alot more at my age than you did. Just a hunch.

Most of my friends by then were older, and from areas other than the HS. The things I was involved in had little to do with that particular world. I went to school there, as I had to. When it was over with I went on to other things.

Sure you do. I'm sure 24 year old marketing guys are generally far more worldly than folks who've served 6 years in the military by the same age.

that says it all right there.

was thinking the same thing... they said no drugs were involved? I've never known anyone who owned a Lava Lamp that didn't smoke some dope.

it is almost comical...the two of them move around this board like a figure skating duo

speaking as a commiter of many dumb deeds through the years that thankfully didn't come back to bite me, I'd guess he put it on the stove to get it "going" quicker. He might have been an ok guy.

Interesting take. You ask me "seriously" and I gave you an answer. Not good enough. By my senior year of HS, I had a full time job (had enough credits to get early work release out of school each day, don't know if they do that any more), played in local bands that actually made money (also good for meeting a lot of people and partying quite hardy), and spent what time I had left learning to fly. I simply found the majority of the HS crowd to be pretty boring. I didn't have much interest in most of them or their activities. The "HS" friends I cared about as friends had already graduated, or went to other schools. Not a lot of incentive for me to play what I considered all the kiddie games. Joined the Army to get the get the GI Bill for school, found I liked what I was doing, and stayed. You seem to have some problem with me with that because...well...I don't know why? I had no desire or reason to be one of the "cool kids on campus". My goal was to get away from it as soon as possible. If you loved your High School experience, fine. Plenty did and do. I had nothing against the place, never had any problems while I was there-pretty well got along with everyone, just wasn't what I wanted.

Ok, let me go over the series of events - and please, only reply and tell me how I am wrong.

I posted an article about an unusual occurance.

You, in your constant condescending way (more on that later) couldn't have just mentioned that you had already posted it elsewhere, but instead said " You should get out more" as well.

I laughed at the fact that you said I should get out more when you were the kid in high school that formed the "anti-prom". However you try to defend that, we all know the kinds of kids who do that. And if you say "I simply found the majority of the HS crowd to be pretty boring. I didn't have much interest in most of them or their activities" - that translated into layman's terms is "should we invite that kid that started the 'anti-prom' and is in some band?".

My laughing at you, and the irony of you, the anti-prom king, telling me, at 24 that I need to get out more, brought around your life partner, AD.

I told him to go screw, as you can handle yourself, and another poster even commented on how you two are always licking each other's asses on this board.

I then get your life story. Great. Grand. You were a huge dork in HS, but really, who cares, because I know guys who's biggest life achievements were their "glory days" on the HS football team. I don't know which extreme is worse, nor do I care.

You were in the military. That's noble, and I appreciate it.

But all of this has nothing to do with the simple fact that you think because of that you are better in any way that anyone else. And I don't think you do. But I think AD likes to use it as a leveraging tool: "You aren't in the military - whatever you do is worthless".

Anyway, all of this could have been avoided by you realizing that most people on TSW absolutely cannot stand the wanna be politicians over on the PPP discussing who's brain is bigger, and who can come up with the most unique insult for the day and then retire to their nerderies for the night. Thus, 90% of us would have not seen your post over there. That, or you could have left out "you need to get out more". Sorry Mr. Anti Prom King, before I post next, I will check PPP. No, I won't.

I will take partial blame, but until we can get Bib and AD detached, this will happen more and more regularly.

It wasn't a leveraging tool, it's simply a statement of fact. When I was 24 I was in charge of 12 men with a WRSK that had almost $2,000,000.00 worth of equipment in it. My job was to have those 12 men ready to be anywhere in the world, ready to fight, within 24 hours of receiving orders. I was deployed an average of 250+ days a year. You market porn on the internet.

Your biggest responsibility at the same age seems to be getting out of bed and going to work, which is apparently incredibly difficult because of Mother Nature, the dreaded Florida XBox gang, recovering from your Fri/Sat benders, etc.

I'm surprised you have time for that between posts about every other guy being a homo or calling someone an unpopular dork. Nothing like projecting...

You obviously win.

Well, in other threads little comments like "You should get out more" are a normal part of the banter and the repertoire. I guess when it suits you, it's fine-when it doesn't-it doesn't. Since you on occasion show up on the PPP side, I figured you might have already perused it.

Fair enough. I'll take partial blame as well. I should have said "perused more" instead of "get out more".

And no, that's not my life story. My life story is pretty bizzare, and would take way too long to explain on a message board. Doubt you could fit yours into a post either.

As far as the posters on PPP trying to show who's brain is bigger...have you actually read some of the posts? One has to wonder if there is a brain involved at all.
