freester Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I think both players want big contracts. There are some effort/laziness issues with Gaither.
mob16151 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Browns significantly older, and has had some injury issues.
Tortured Soul Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Browns significantly older, and has had some injury issues. And Gaither is better, according to Pro Football Focus.
RealityCheck Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I think both players want big contracts. There are some effort/laziness issues with Gaither. Nice of you to omit Brown's injury. You do realize that even if he can pass a physical that it does not necessarily translate into him being able to resume his old form. The same goes for Mitchell. To be realistic both players are diminished somewhat in ability and/or longevity.
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I think both players want big contracts. There are some effort/laziness issues with Gaither. Major injury issues with Brown however.
mousetrap08 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 newsome of the ravens said there hasn't been a good offer for gaither.
mob16151 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 newsome of the ravens said there hasn't been a good offer for gaither. Well, this is kinda reminding me of the whole McNabb thing earlier in the offseason.
Arkady Renko Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Why not consider trading Schobel to the Saints for Brown? Schobel had success with Gregg Williams and it would allow Schobel to be closer to home.
RealityCheck Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Why not consider trading Schobel to the Saints for Brown? Schobel had success with Gregg Williams and it would allow Schobel to be closer to home. Good idea, I'll get right on it.
Arkady Renko Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Good idea, I'll get right on it. Welcome to the board, friend.
....lybob Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Lordy, Lordy if the Bills made a move to get a non-scrub LT I'd be so happy- I'm amazed that anyone has the nerve to complain- I mean let me get this strait after all the moronic things the Bills have done, your complaint is that the top 10 OT we might be going after may be slightly worse than another guy if the other guy is completely healed from serious injuries that kept him from playing last season.
FIVE Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Do you even have to ask? Because we suck. I think both players want big contracts. There are some effort/laziness issues with Gaither.
BillsVet Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Jammal Brown turned 29 in March. Gaither was 24 the same month.
Thurman#1 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I think both players want big contracts. There are some effort/laziness issues with Gaither. Gaither is also a hell of a lot better. Take a look at last year's rankings. Gaither is #6 out of 77. Brown was injured all year. In 2008, Gaither was #11 out of 77. Brown was #47 out of 77. In 2007, Brown was #52 out of 63. The 2007 rankings: http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.ph...&numgames=1
Thurman#1 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Why not consider trading Schobel to the Saints for Brown? Schobel had success with Gregg Williams and it would allow Schobel to be closer to home. Because Schobel is currently apparently retired for one thing?
