nero47
Impress me wit 10-yard time. A 40 is only good once someone is in the clear or if your O-line gives you that much time to throw, but then the defender is already 10 yards downfield and only has to cover 30 yards. Amen...40 times are worthless except for special team players. And even then, the 40 time only matters if the guy can make the tackle. Yes, there are guys who have incredible 40 times who are hall of fame players, but the 40 time is not the primary indicator. 5-15 yards is where it is at. Stl Bills
Fascinating list. Amazing how almost every player on this list became a good pro. Maybe Al Davis is on to something... That list is complete BS....Those are unofficial hand times. Chris Johnson and Rondel Melendez hold the record at the combine with electronic timing at 4.24......but its only been around since 1999. I'd be willing to bet there are fewer than 5 players in the history of the NFL (if any) who could have ever run a sub 4.2 electronic timed 40.
