You honestly can't be that dumb as to not think part of the reason he is here, is to advertise himself, in which I see nothing wrong with. From his own arguments, he spoke about how ESPN sites dwarf the local sites in terms of traffic. Evidently traffic is a big deal.

I had no idea who Tim Graham was until he posted here a bit. So, for me, this site gave him life. I then hit his blog a few times which gave him traffic. I'm sure they look at those traffic hits like TV people look at TV ratings. Colin Cowherd surely looks, because he talks about site traffic a lot in relation to the NFL dwarfing everyone. TG benefits just as much from this site, if not more, than we get inside info from him. It's also easy for him to follow this board in order to get ideas for blogs about what's important to Bills fans. It's easier to make some of his blogs relevant. You can tell that some writers do this, because thier columns, blogs, etc, often times now echo sentiment on message boards.

I was kinda glad TG was here. I even got on him hard once about our tool Chris Mortensen. I had to back off because nothing good was coming from it. However, jeez o whiz people, when real news breaks anymore, none of these "insiders" get anything right anyway. It's all a bunch of guesses until the real story finally comes out. So, just be patient, take these people and their info for what it is, and calm down. It's usually harder sifting through all the guessers than to just sit back and let it work itself out here.

I don't understand those of you who act like they've lost a loved one because he's gone. I also don't understand why some of you have so much anger towards him. When news is about to break on anything Bills related, you really don't have to go from site to site to get the news anyway. Just refresh here until you have matching threads from different sources and then you know it's real.

TG's here. TG's not. Who cares. As long as Nevergiveup (aka Russ Brandon) stays, that's really all we need for now.

Just for the record, Two Bills Drive hasn't linked my stories regularly for months. And I haven't shared a link to one of my own since Marshawn Lynch's plea bargain last year.

ESPN is able to track where traffic comes from. This site increased my traffic by an average of about 150 clicks a month. My total traffic is anywhere from 1.5 million to 3 million clicks a month, depending on the time of year.

Please take no offense, as this is not necessarily about you (Lv-Bills), but the over all attitude of the board. But maybe twobillsdrive.com should maybe check their ego's at the door. Like I said, Tim doesn't need this site.

With that said, thank you Tim for your time with us. I came to this site for insider input on the Bills which I can only get from people like you, Lori, and Nevergiveup (whoever he/she is).

Personally, I don't blame Tim for leaving (though I might criticize him for making a small production out of it - if the board's not worth coming back to, it's not worth explaining why you're not coming back). Too many self-important fools around these parts.

I was about to make the bolded point. Beat me, as per ususal.

He says anonymously ...

I'm not pointing that out as a challenge. But my reputation doesn't get put on a shelf when I log onto this site. Nor should it.

I've learned that it is pointless to engage with people who are anonymous because we're not playing by the same rules and I can't win. If I take exception, then I'm thin-skinned or a whiner or a baby or need to grow a pair. If I don't say anything, ignore the post and don't stick up for my friends/coworkers, then I lose respect for myself. On the other hand, you don't have to own up to anything you write.

I think this is something a lot of us forget that your real identity is shared with us and the rest of us can say anything we want with no risk or consequences. I know it would bother me a great deal to be put in a spot where I had to explain the actions of others to someone, especially people I work with. And in a public forum like this, there is more at risk for you than just your self respect. This is a public forum, and anything you say about your coworkers or your employer could be seen by them at any time. It is just a terrible spot to put people in. Especially over something as stupid as a twitter box.

TG comes on this board, not under some alias, and traffics with fans on his own time. Some punk, hiding behind a alias screws up a good thing for all of us. I say ban him from the page. If you don't agree with an opinion, fine. do so with some class and act responsibly. I'm sick of all the punks swearing and intimidating others because they can do so in anonymity.

Maybe they do it because that's the only way they can feel good about themselves.....what's the matter Leonidas, was somebody mean to you as a little kid and now you have to work out your demons on TSW?

Hey Tim, you have a ton of support on the wall. Don't let a coward punk keep you from posting again.

Well Put :nana:

Looks Like Fridays at 3:00pm @ ESPN for Bills fans

I got to work for 12 hours and come home to this!? Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Maybe if you only worked 8, it would have been different. Its all your fault.

I agree with a couple of posters who said that thread should have been moderated more. If you're fortunate enough to get a guy like Tim Graham to host a pinned thread, then I think you have to protect that resource and filter out the crap. Yes, it kind of flies in the face of the open forum that we enjoy here, but in a case like this I think you make an exception and don't even let the post hit until AFTER it has been reviewed. There's just NO WAY that politely asking people to behave is going to work. Especially people who can pretty much say what they want with no ramifications of their real person. That's just the sad reality. If ever the board is fortunate enough to get Tim back, then I hope the posts are reviewed before they hit. That will help preserve a good thing for all of us. The personal attacks are beyond ridiculous.

Tim,

Don't go. If you can, just ignore the ignorant people on. Unfortunately there's quite a few of them.

But if you go, I wouldn't hold it against you. You've been great here. I'm a huge Bills fan and can talk Buffalo Bills football til I'm blue in the face. I love it! That's why you can't go. I've posted in your thread numerous times and I look forward to and love reading your responses. I think it's awesome that you come here on your own free time. I respect you for what you do and what you've done here.

How cool is it that we have someone that works for the biggest sports company out there, who covers our division and who covers our team, actually blogging with us!? You've been fantastic offerring opinion and insight on all things Bills and I for one have appreciated it. Big time. I think it's great that you came and hung out with us regular joes who share a passion for Bills football.

espn.com is my homepage and I always read your AFC East blog and will continue you to do so.

Hopefully you can still pop in and chat with those of us who are normal.

People here can't or won't separate the reporter from the person, coverage from character.

Wow! And here I thought I, and most TSW posters, were trashing Sully's professional work [sic]. Never realized we were hurting him (or Mort) personally.

I'm humbled by my arrogance, and promise to only think kind thoughts about Jerry in the future...

I've seen people call them !@#$s or pieces of ****, not just calling their writing really ****ty. That's what he's talking about, taking it beyond their writing and saying something about them personally when most of the posters here haven't met either of them.

You might want to empty your cache and hit the refresh button. Looks like your computer is drawing an old page from a stuffed cache.

The headlines on ESPNBoston right now are Bruins-Flyers and Celtics-Cavs from last night's games and today's coverage, a Red Sox story from last night's game and a Patriots story from this afternoon.

http://espn.go.com/boston/

The stories you mention were archived long ago.

Feeling a little dumb...though I still stand by my statment that the Globe and Herald break more than ESPN Boston on the local scene (Though insider links from the main page are darn close). Now if you'll excuse me I am going to go drown my sorrows in a bowl of TO Cereal and wash it all down with a Labatt Blue. I've got 4 boxes to get through and their expiration date is fast approaching.

Oh well, regardless of whether or not Tim comes back here, I will continue to read his column daily in between my porn surfing sessions. Keep up the good work Tim.

And I'm still going to follow him on Twitter. (But no I won't be surfing porn) He's the best source for breaking news on the AFC East.

meh,

I don't care if Tim Graham is on the message boards or not. I never read his thread so it makes no difference to me.

I do however, understand how some fans may be upset that he is gone. Or anyone with a media persona is gone.

Its not the end of the world, if Tim wants to interact with fans, have him start his own chat room.

I like Tim graham but espn is a joke. they jock the big market teams like groupies... At the end of the day who cares none of those guys provide any real confidential insight anyway.
