gball77 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Leonidas is Baby Joe Mesi, hates TG. Suprised someone who comes to a messageboard would get offended, it's the nature of the beast. TG should be careful to not alienate Buffalo fans, I'm sure we provide him with the hits on his blog to keep his nice job at the ESPN
Booster4324 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Just to your posts in general. C'mon Murra, you have more smarts than that. Think it through. Have you read both threads?
outsidethebox Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Would you agree the owner of the message board would have the right to make posters conform to a certain behavior if they wanted the right to post? I agree 100%. I am not defending leonidas.
Simon Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 you're entirely off-base if you truly believe that being an ESPN blogger is elite, and that his comment would hold significantly more water than yours or mine. So when was the last time you talked to Ralph Wilson or somebody else in the Bills front office? Yeah, your insight holds just as much water as Graham's. I'm sorry but if people ignore the trolls long enough they wont get a rise out saying stupid stuff and will then leave on their own. You will?
RealityCheck Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Talk about the thread that never ends. Tim Graham can't help or hurt the team when it comes to wins and losses, thus I could care less about the situation. No matter how you cut it something emotional happened and he won't post hear anymore. What ever he says his reasons are the core reason is an emotional one. S*** happens. If the guy had a real blue collar job perhaps his skin would be a little thicker.

Astrojanitor Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 You need to wikipedia the term "elitist" now. You have no idea what my argument was and you're treading water. Screaming into the wind? You're remarkably rude if you think there is little or no collective intelligence on these boards, and you're entirely off-base if you truly believe that being an ESPN blogger is elite, and that his comment would hold significantly more water than yours or mine. oh please, I'm not in high school. I don't wikipedia anything. And his comments do hold more water than mine since he has access to actual information and professionally writes on the topic I'm opine about when bored. Just as my comments on film and music hold more water than his since I've studied it for years, published on it, and lectured on it. Informed opinion trumps opinion. Always.
DanInUticaTampa Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 S*** happens. If the guy had a real blue collar job perhaps his skin would be a little thicker. Yeah, having a job where people give criticism to every article you write can make someone very thinskinned
Astrojanitor Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 So by your logic if i am being repressed by my government, I shouldn't really try to dissent the "ruling elite" because they've dutifully earned their position in life, and I am a sheep who has no basis for interjection? don't be a drama queen. This is about people lashing out at informed opinion. Tim graham is not a member of the "ruling elite" he was simply one of the handful of people on the site who knew what they were talking about.

Just like my 12 years as a boxer say I can kick the crap out you. LOL. just kidden. kind of.

You're the one who started consecutive posts with "Oh please". Also, you said "ruling elite", and basically all of your analogies so far have been either ridiculous or eerily similar to a socialist theory.
LeviF Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 This I agree on. Just like my 12 years as a boxer say I can kick the crap out you. LOL. just kidden. kind of. Thank goodness for the 2nd amendment
Nervous Guy Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 What is this revisionist history rampant in this thread? TBD might be lacking some of the quality, in-depth discussions it once had, but that's a result of growth. There are thousands and thousands of members. Of course quality will be watered down. And of course the close-knit feel will eventually give way. "The good old days?" Like when there were meltdown threads every month? When BF would take some ridiculous stance and then have a 30 page bitchfest with Tom, Darin, Thailog, etc.? All that was great entertainment...but some golden land of civility and tranquility? Ha! "Retatta" marked a turning point for this place. I'll agree that it has become a lot more ADHD and, on the whole, good discussion is washed away in the face of spastic postings. But TBD is not some crater of what was once Bills Utopia. If this thread is what constitutes drama nowadays, I think my point is made. same as it ever was...the old cast of villains has been replaced by a new set...I actually think we moderate things a bit tighter than 10 years ago...maybe that's just my opinion.
