Wilson from Gamehendge Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/04/29/walter-...etly-retires%2F We NEED somebody like this...Au Revoir Jason Peters! But this may be the best way to explain it. As Adam Schefter tweeted Thursday, the Seahawks' coaching staff stats had Jones giving up 23 sacks and being called for nine holding penalties in 5,703 pass attempts in 12 seasons. The worst left tackles can give up 10 sacks in one season. Holy schit! THAT IS AMAZING! Is he the greatest O-Lineman or OT to ever play the game???
RealityCheck Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 He's up there brother. That's amazing, not to mention an outstanding run blocker. Once in a generation player.

If only he had been playing with the Bills . . . .
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Saw the game he graded out perfect. Not a single technical flaw. Never heard of anything of the sort happening before or since. The man dominated in his career and was a total stud.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 I would like to see those stats compared to Ogden or Matthews or any of the top OT's throughout the last 20 years or so...I wonder how his stats compare to Hall of Famers. Obviously he IS going to Canton... ...but is he the BEST Offensive Tackle of all-time?
KD in CA Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 We NEED somebody like this...Au Revoir Jason Peters! Jason Peters couldn't carry Walter Jones' jock. Ridiculous to draw even the most remote comparison.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 A great LT, and his clutch of super bowl rings prove that only teams with HOF LTs win championships... Wait, what? Never mind.
cowtippur Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I just don't understand the timing. Why wait until after the draft to announce your retirement?
lets_go_bills Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 The guy would get franchised every year, hold out for all of camp, show up come game day, and absolutely dominate all year. One of the all-time greats.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Jason Peters couldn't carry Walter Jones' jock. Ridiculous to draw even the most remote comparison. He is still the best OT I have seen on the BUFFALO BILLS' roster in a very, very, very LONG time! Probably the best O-Linemen we have had in 10 years!
RealityCheck Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I just don't understand the timing. Why wait until after the draft to announce your retirement? Only for the obvious reasons.
