thebandit27 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 In a NON-FOOTBALL-RELATED injury... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ing-basketball/ crazy...
DarthICE Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Humm well if he ruptured the patellar tendon there is no doubt he is done for the year. I would rather he tore the ACL.
Rico Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Send them Kirk Chambers for a 2011 7th-round pick QUICK.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Clady says he's fine and hoping to be ready by training camp.
ajm Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Schefter reports he'll only miss 3 months via Twitter.
thebandit27 Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Clady says he's fine and hoping to be ready by training camp. Interesting, where did you see that?
thebandit27 Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Schefter reports he'll only miss 3 months via Twitter. Must not be the patellar then, or must just be a strain...a torn patellar is at least a full year recovery.

Arkady Renko Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Send them Kirk Chambers for a 2011 7th-round pick QUICK. Let's make an Oakland type deal and make it a 2015 fifth round pick.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Interesting, where did you see that? http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL Maybe he's being too hopeful, who knows.
Coach Tuesday Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 If it turns out that he is out for an extended period, I can see the Broncos aggressively making a move for Jamaal Brown. Some organizations prefer to move forward, rather than run in place...

Booster4324 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 As Mike Klis of the Denver Post reported earlier today, tackle Ryan Clady suffered a potentially serious knee injury while doing something unrelated to football. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the injury is believed to be a torn patellar tendon. The source says the injury occurred while Clady was playing basketball. Josh McDaniels, when asked of the situation, claimed he (McDaniel) had no chose but to use the hard foul on Clady. The game was tied.
Adam Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Humm well if he ruptured the patellar tendon there is no doubt he is done for the year. I would rather he tore the ACL. I raise you one PCL!
Russ 'Em Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Maybe we could sign him. He could be this years captain of the IR squad.
Lori Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Yep been there, done that. That's what you get for throwing telephone poles around. Kidding aside, I agree -- ain't no way he's good to go in three months if that tendon's torn.

That is why I like you...
Lori Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 If that is how he blew it out, you are mean. I imagine the memory of pain just flashed through his mind. That is why I like you... True fact. ICEman, my Bills Brother for as long as there's been a Stadium Wall, used to do the Highland Games thing -- and he was pretty damn good at it, too. And if it would make him feel any better, I'm currently rehabbing a sprained LCL...
HansLanda Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Price for Flozell just went up by more than $1M/season.
Booster4324 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 True fact. ICEman, my Bills Brother for as long as there's been a Stadium Wall, used to do the Highland Games thing -- and he was pretty damn good at it, too. And if it would make him feel any better, I'm currently rehabbing a sprained LCL... I blew out my LCL. I was in the midst of a divorce, changing jobs, and my ex-wife (still married at the time) dropped me from her insurance. This was despite the fact she agreed to keep me on it until my insurance kicked in. Anyway, I had no insurance, so just sucked it up and wrapped it myself. I break out my old crutches and just went to work. To make matters worse, I pushed it. I was trying to work out again and my knee felt fine, so I start a bunch of silly martial arts katas. Low and behold, I step on a toy twist awkwardly and messed it up again. More self rehab and finally 4 years later it is mostly normal. I highly recommend swimming as a form of rehab.
