OBVIOUS? it's not obvious to me that brohm will unlikely amount to anything. just the opposite. you've seen the guy play one game with no practice and he did fairly well imo and many others here. what am I missing here, why is it so obvious?

Did you learn about odds or percentages in school?

What do you think the chances are that he becomes a Pro-Bowl QB? Maybe around 5%?

The chance that any given QB in a draft turns out to be a stud is low to begin with, then add the fact that he had some kind of falling out with the organization that drafted him (a black mark, albeit perhaps a small one), and the odds of him becoming great are slim. He's a decent prospect, but that's it - a prospect.

In case you didn't know, if something is likely to happen, it will happen more then 50% of the time. If something is unlikely to happen, it will happen less than 50% of the time.

So, yes, it should be OBVIOUS that Brohm is an underdog to become a good starting QB in this league.

Oh, and in case you missed it, my post said I WANTED to see him play. I don't believe in Edwards.

Even though I think the chances of him being great are slim, at least there's a CHANCE.

I was going over the timelines of last season. Jauron gets canned on a Tuesday. Fewell takes over as interim HC. On Thursday the team gets rid of Hamdan and picks up Brohm, a second round Green Bay pick. Green Bay matches the Bills offer and offers to put Brohm on the roster. He declines and goes to Buffalo because he views the grass as greener.

So who was the guy in the back ofice that spotted him and grabbed him? I wonder how much Buddy Nix was involved in this? The more I read about Brohm, the more I think he could be our QB this season. (article from january.. http://www.oleantimesherald.com/articles/2...b382865455.txt).

It will be interesting to see how he does in camp.

In the early 60's we signed a guy named Jack Kemp because of a mistake San Diego Made. Correct me if I am wrong but it was a wily old guy named Harvey Johnson who did it (I think) Perhaps Nix is the second coming, Keep your fingers crossed!

Nix didn't sign Brohm.

Who ever it was that took Brohm is gone now, otherwise it is bad news. The only option the Bills have for 2010 is Edwards as sad as that is.

We'll see opening day. I think you may be eating this post.

One thing I took from the Atlanta game was how strong Brohm threw the ball.
