MattyT Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I imagine there are other fans here.... has anyone seen his speaking tours before? Thinking about going later this week and was curious to see what others thought Saw him at UB after he released Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. My wife and I thought he was great. Probably not for everyone though.
Max Fischer Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Saw him at UB after he released Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. My wife and I thought he was great. Probably not for everyone though. Saw him a few weeks ago. Very funny, but I agree, not for everyone. He is NOT a stand up comedian, he essentially reads his essays. Still, a good time.
JoeFerguson Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Saw him at UB after he released Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. My wife and I thought he was great. Probably not for everyone though. I saw him at UB also. He is funny, but he just reads his stories at his events.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 i have a huge crush on his sister, Amy, ever since the Strangers with Candy days. i havent seen him live myself, but i have seen videos of his live performance online. seems pretty entertaining, if you're into him/his writing.
KD in CA Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I read a couple of his books; generally amusing but didn't quite live up to the hype I had been given about them.
Beerball Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Curious how he is live; really liked the one book of his that I read (Naked). Someone gave me that book when I was sick earlier in the year. Weird, strange, odd, funny, bizarre.....enjoyable
