dhg Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 As for Henderson, he isn't coming to the Bills. Why would he choose to sign with a losing organization at the end of his career particularly when he'd have to play in a system he wasn't familiar with? Even if the Bills pursued him I'd have to think he could find a better option. $$$$$$$$
SawchukBills Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Not really a position of need now is it? Reunite him with Stroud? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...john-henderson/ Not a position of need??? Kyle Williams and Troup don't really scream "set at the position". As far as post draft acquisitions, this is my order or the big name guys: 1) Jared Gaither 2) John Henderson 10) Adalius Thomas
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 You gotta make blood come out da mouth!
bowery4 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 i always liked that vid. wish it was going to happen but..............
billsfan89 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Would love it if we went out and did the following 3 things Hell one of the following 3 would make me happy 1- Got Gaither from the Ravens for a 2nd and a 5th in next years draft. 2- Signed John Henderson 3- Signed Allan Faneca (Which isn't going to happen) Ok Gaither is an intimidate upgrade at LT and with Spiller, Jackson, and Lynch we have too many weapons out of the backfield to not want a 6 foot 9 mammoth LT blocking for them plus too are QB's need all the protection they can get. The case for Henderson. OK NT is a huge part of any 3-4 and right now we are counting on an above average 4-3 DT who is undersized and a rookie who despite being a 2nd round pick isn't going to be able to fully anchor a 3-4 for 3 downs. So Henderson while being a little tall adds a big body to rotate in with Troup and Williams. The more big nasty guys you have in a 3-4 the better and Henderson is just that a big nasty guy who can help Troup split the load. Troup will be the anchor of the future but why put him in a somewhat compromised position by counting on him a little too much. Have Troup split the run stuffing duties with Henderson and throw Williams in there as the swing man at NT and DE. So Henderson help Troup take on a lesser role and be brought around slowly and make Williams more of a depth guy all along the line. The case for Faneca is it simply allows us to move Wood to C and give our Line depth by having Handy come off the bench. Faneca is also a vet who helps out Wood and Levitre. Imagine a line like this. LT-Gaiter LG Levitre C- Wood RG- Faneca RT- Green The left side would be set for a long time while the right side has two vets who are solid and we have a bunch of possible heir apparents to Green is Meridith, Wang, and Bell.
JPS Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Doubtful. Stroud being released woould be too smart, too fast. I need to see him backpeddle for another year.
JPS Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 There really is one of these threads for every single player that is released +1. It's really getting ridiculous.
