DanInSouthBuffalo Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Not really a position of need now is it? Reunite him with Stroud? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...john-henderson/
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I would still be all over this like stank on a prostitute. Henderson has GREAT size to play the nose and would allow us to move Troup in gradually as opposed to throwing him to the wolves in Week 1. He would provide instant leadership in the locker room and I think would love to be reunited with his buddy Stroud. If I were Buddy I'd make this happen by Thursday, this move makes shockingly too much sense. So clearly that means the Bills wont do it.
Mike in Syracuse Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Everything on this team is a "position of need" with perhaps the exception of the secondary and our punter. Competition is a good thing.
bowery4 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'd take him, he would cost though so it aint going to happen
DukeyBomb Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Isn't going to happen. So let's just say Stroud Henderson and Dwan Edwards start.... Where is that going to leave Troup, Carrington, Williams, S. Johnson, and McCargo? Henderson is old now. Forget about it.

So you'd have Henderson, Troup and Williams. At the ends you'd have Dwan and Stroud starting with Carrington and Spencer Johnson backing them up (once again, normal to have 2 backups). McCargo gets released since he doesnt fit the system anyways. I dont see what the problem is.
Max997 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Not really a position of need now is it? Reunite him with Stroud? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...john-henderson/ why when there is a good chance Stroud is going to be released
Phlegm Alley Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 In a previous post about our current weaknesses, I think the biggest weakness this team currently has is lack of depth at the NT position. Henderson, although having played in the 4-3 alignment in Jacksonville, does have the size to come in and play the nose in the 3-4. I could foresee the Bills pursuing Henderson, but for some reason, I have a nagging feeling they would not be the ones to sign him.
Doc Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 why when there is a good chance Stroud is going to be released Doubtful.

Forget about it. all those guys play end and we have great depth and a big front 3. you know two of those guys will miss time so its great to have depth.
Saint Doug Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 We are one DT injury away from being royally eff'd. Sign him up.
Max997 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Doubtful. please tell me where you think Stroud is going to play? he isnt a NT or a 3-4 DE so where exactly does he fit in with this team? and its not like he has played well outside of his first 4 games as a Bill

DrDawkinstein Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 if we're going after recently released former stars, id rather have Faneca
Thurman#1 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I would still be all over this like stank on a prostitute. The only questions are age (31) and money (I'm betting he draws some serious interest).
MDH Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 if we're going after recently released former stars, id rather have Faneca The Bills aren't contending for anything this year and Wood and Levitre need seasoning. No need to sign Faneca. As for Henderson, he isn't coming to the Bills. Why would he choose to sign with a losing organization at the end of his career particularly when he'd have to play in a system he wasn't familiar with? Even if the Bills pursued him I'd have to think he could find a better option.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'd love it too. The only questions are age (31) and money (I'm betting he draws some serious interest). Even with them just signing Warren, I could see New England make a play for him.
Thurman#1 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 why when there is a good chance Stroud is going to be released Good in the sense of "very little" chance? Stroud looked like our best 3 - 4 DE till we picked up Edwards. He still looks like our second-best.
pBills Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 That would be a great signing... thatand flozell adams. Which means the Bills will go with what they got. :-)
