I got to tell you, the Anti-AZ law crowd is coming off as very shrill on this issue. This law does not mandate "paper checks" it just strengths existing one. The left propaganda machine is amazing!

It's not that much different in DC.

Or Long Island.

But we are supposed to "understand" them, see? Just drive past and look straight ahead while they leer at you. Allow them to whistle at your spouse. Lest you be a "racist"

I'm still trying to understand how the very leftists who are yelling about this horrible abuse of a person's civil rights have no problem at all with the government forcing you to buy a product from a private industry.

CS thinks all rich people are like Scrooge McDuck, rolling around on their bags of money in their vaults.

No we're all not like that. Mine's in my closet. My wife keeps telling me to "come out of the closet."

Referencing something regarding this issue from the SEIU home web page would be as silly as placing Andy Stern on the National Deficit Reduction Commission, hold on, wait a minute....

I still think his reference to a Maoist site was better...

MY question stands: How in the !@#$ do you reasonably suspect someone acting lawfully is an alien.

JA:

The Answer: Profile them by the way they look.

I got no problem with it... I get profiled a bunch of times. You should see me when I don't shave... Dark hair, dark beard... My father used to call me Chico as a child (Show: Chico and the Man).

I just give them my ID, say yes sir, no sir... Thank You sir and go on my way. I got nothing to hide, right or wrong... Officer you can stop me and talk to me anytime you want... Let's shoot the ****, you are my friend... I never get indignant or am burdened in the least.

Sure... It is a brave new world... As long as the system doesn't get corrupt and innocent/US citizens aren't TOO burdened... Who cares? Once the situation is under control in AZ, they can lax up on the checks.

And LA... I am totally with you:

I am very leftist. I think you got that wrong... It is the moderate leftys/enviros/elitists that I think you mean

Yeah another uber-liberal mouthpiece who spots BS from MSNBC.

Again, you don't get it, it is not this countries problem to take care of the rest of the world. Whether we go there or they flock to our shores. 200 years ago when we asked for your tired, hungry, etc... they were welcomed as contributing members of society. Not flocks of people looking for handouts and getting thousands times more out of society than they contribute. These are parasites.

When it comes to immigration laws, I am alll the way on the side of open borders...this is ridiculous...

You guys are obviously living with the illusion that the guy who steals 10000 in taxes with free school is much more a burden than a guy that steals a trillion dollars....so, it's probably your upbringing...you were just not from the same places I was from...

Yeah I'm sure you're just like scrooge chef...working with so many illegals, I'm sure you're just swimming in the money...your worse than a real rich dude...cuz you're the kind of worker that is on the rich dudes sach hoping one day he'll tea bag you

So all illegal aliens are parasites? They don't want to work and be contributing members to the U.S.? Do you agree with Duncan Hunter that the U.S. born children of illegal aliens should be deported? I didn't hear any practical answers to my questions, just more complaints.

Yes we understand Magox.....Paying yourself from creating an illusion on paper = good

Paying working class people for blood sweat and tears = bad

Goldman Sachs = good

Unions = bad

we get it...let us laugh at the man who brings up articles from service worker unions............to prove a point about workers being taken advantage of....

Isn't that the same thing as you quoting Goldman Sachs for the great things they've done for the economy...or using sites that are Wall St. media outlets about how WONDERFUL the banking industry is???

Get real...

GIVE ME A BREAK

They are not taking over everything and they are not destroying our country. Many of these immigrants play a positive role for this country and many don't. The question is how do you draw the line. The idea of having an out right OPEN BORDER is moronically dangerous. You have to see that right?

How do you think that would affect the drug trade if we had open borders?

If we had open borders do you believe that there would be more or less people trying to get into the country?

How would that affect employment in the U.S, would there be more jobs AVAILABLE or would there be more JOBLESSNESS than there already is?

What would happen to the crime rate, would it go higher or lower?

What about terrorism, if there are no safegaurds in place and we have open borders, then would that make terrorism more accesible here in the U.S or lessen it?

I agree that something has to be done different than what already is happening, but the question is what.

Amnesty is probably not the answer. Why? Because if amnesty were to be part of the solution, then even an idiot would know that it would give more incentive for those to cross the borders knowing that once you're in, YOU'RE IN!!

On the other hand, how do you get them out without discriminating people?

You're view Celtic, as morally right as it may be is not practical, which of course is consistent with the majority of your views that you have shared with us.

I don't even think I can count how much stupidity you packed into that. I'm up to three distinct items of idiocy in the first sentence alone.

But my favorite, though, is "your the guy that mispells socialism". Nice job, Webster.

Yes Goldman Sachs BAD!!!! EVIL!!!!

Unions GOOD!!! HELPFUL TO OUR SOCIETY and ECONOMY!!!

Unions played a productive role, but they overreached and many of the Unions are largely responsible for many of our jobs going overseas. The reasons why Union bosses many times are detrimental to our economy is because they do what they are suppose to do, which is to ALWAYS ASK FOR MORE!! After a while, there isn't any more to give, because once revenues go down, the benefits stay the same, which means that companies are forced to make the hard decision and close down shop and move somewhere else.

But you keep believing that Goldman Sachs is evil, and keep believing that they don't help local and state governments raise capital for schools, roads, bridges etc. You keep believing that they don't help companies raise capital so that they can expand, which in turn creates jobs, you keep believing that they don't help raise capital so that people can buy and finance homes, you keep believing that they havn't helped many people out with their retirment funds, you keep believing that they don't help with M&A activity so that companies can become stronger which of course adds jobs.

Meanwhile, those who have a better understanding of how the REAL WORLD works, understands that companies like Goldman Sachs play an important role in helping this country grow.

But they make people pay $500k for a $200k house, which is evil.

Unlike making them pay $90k for a $32k house, which is good.

Yeah, I know your you're you are...but you missed the point of the statement...those that are more interested in details than concepts are guys that are.....in your industry I would guess bean counters?...exactly...and you sit in your cubicle and talk to your buddies about "how that reject actually runs the company" the guy who has to hire a personal asst. to fix words and that golfs everyday, and really doesn't do any work...ya know...the SUPER banker hehehehe...and THAT guy, "doesn't get it" meanwhile you're working for him...so who really doesn't get it :nana:...

like in my plan, you are quick to point out..."it's not going to cost 10,000" more like 20,000...having not even seen the houses for one, for two like that is a huge difference anyway...so if everything costs double, I'll buy half...you're not attacking the concept at all...it doesn't matter your digs heheehehh you like that? heehehe or that you like?

I do agree the Unions overreached...but they are not the "real" cause for loss of jobs...had they been more worried about the bottom line...well not worried, but at least not oblivious to it, things would have worked out better yes...but the real reason the job loss is so bad is becuase on the transnational companies and the lack of real strong unions abroad...globalizing is destroying the unions...but its also destroying the American economy because our products now are being built over seas and are trash because companies are continuing to sacrifice quality for quantity...

And it's not all the companies faults...dont get me wrong...the people continuing to pay for these garbage products because they can save five bucks is the bigger reason...I understand that unions are a part of why the economy is hurting, but the shot callers always have to be the ones ultimately held accountable and the unions may be strong but you and I both know they are not the shot callers...they just give shot callers headaches...

Goldman Sachs is evil and those that think they are the savior of the American economy need to evaluate the economy before and after the banking industry took this nation over...I especially love when people say that the ups and downs got better after the banking industry took over...there were depressions before they were in control...but they were nowhere near as intense...because the companies like Goldman Sachs try to "play" the market in thier own favor...they want profits...that's another HUGE factor in why companies ship jobs overseas...if thier profit margin is more "attractive" they get more money from the evil banks :nana:

I'm not even attacking the concept, moron. I'm pointing out that you don't understand the details. You have an idea that you pretty clearly have no idea how to turn into a practical plan. Putting $10k into a $32k building that has a "market value" of $120k, without insuring it, with no clear idea of ownership (you've said that you'd own the properties, AND that your renters would own the property, depending on what cost allocation you're trying to justify at the time), and absolutely no risk analysis, coherent or otherwise. Your target demographic seems to be "people who are screwed by bankers", your understanding of the real estate market itself is skewed, your understanding of the legal matters involved is completely conflated - are you going to check for senior liens before you buy these foreclosures? What kind of foreclosures are they, anyway?

Details actually do matter. They're the difference between a concept and an executable plan.
