Brian Brohm: Bills open to Brohm winning starting QB job

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Bills are "very open" to Brian Brohm entering Week 1 as their starting quarterback.

Mort previously hinted on ESPN that the new Bills regime is ready to wash its hands of Trent Edwards. Brohm threw for just 146 yards and two picks on 29 pass attempts in his lone start last season. Otherwise, the former second-round pick has been unable to get on the field entering his third year. Apr. 9 - 5:10 pm et

Didn't Brohm start the Atlanta 31-3 disaster last year????

That was a team who had quit on the season, owner, and everything. I wouldn't judge a single player based on that game.

Yeah, with NO NFL playing experince ever and 1 week working with the first unit and 4 weeks to learn our s**tty system mid season...but go ahead and judge him on that...

I have been saying this all along and this is why I said we would address all the other holes first this year and see if Brohm can be the guy before we draft another one...

The won after that game, so how did they quit?

But, he did start it. . . which is all I wrote, right?

Brohm is the guy and their reason for no need to draft a qb... do you really doubt that??

No way they come back with Edwards or Fitz - think about it

Anyways, Mort's tweet was posted on this board two weeks ago when it was first tweeted. Old stuff...and not really relevant.

Nix and Company are bringing in a 4th QB for camp.

Veteran? Developmental rookie?

That is the question. We can debate this Edwards vs Brohm vs Fitz till we're blue in the face.

And we already have. Numerous times.

not intended to be a "news flash" but rather some color behind reasoning for no qb drafted.

Why add color to what is black and white? The color that you guys usually add tends to be BROWN anyways.
