yungmack Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 What does this pick say about James "9 mm" Hardy and everyone's favorite, Steve Johnson? It says the team isn't real high on either player to draft a guy in the 4th round. Huh? I believe Reed and Owens are no longer on the roster so a little depth is needed at WR? Do you think there's an outside chance that this is the reason they took this guy? And special teams could use a few good men too, and that was his specialty at UConn.
yungmack Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I'm a senior at UConn and I can say that this guy is the real deal talent wise. Who knows if he'll pan out but he worked his ass off to finally break out and I think he'll do the same in B-lo. Oh, don't go confusing the knucklehead with eyewitness reports.
VABills Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 As I heard elsewhere, the fans would be complaining a lot less if we got Wang in the 4th and Easley in the 5th. *credit to the person who said it.

On the other hand, if Trent Edwards is the QB, WR is synonymous with "wasted roster spot".

That can't be a bad thing.
WellDressed Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 He was a core special-teams performer at UConn during his first three years as he tried to earn a scholarship." This is funny, I read an article online, that said " Does not possess any real value for special teams. lol
MDH Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Only because you've never heard of him. Consider the possibility that your fotball knowledge is more limited that guys who do this for a living. That's true of every team's front office. Are you suggesting that no teams ever make mistakes or that fans can't ever be unhappy with a pick? I'm assuming we should all just nod our heads at every single pick (even the Raiders) and say, "that must be a good pick because their front office knows more than me."

Everyone has an opinion, it is just when someone who clearly doesn't have 1% of the information that someone else does - definitely declares how right they are and how stupid the other one is. It is insane. Truly stupid people don't know they are stupid and that is what is on display here.
JinWPB Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Here is a point about Easley from his interview I have not seen mentioned. He spent passed seasons in a run offense blocking for RB Donald Brown. This year a new offensive coord. and he has a breakout season. So, we may have a late blooming WR threat and a great downfield blocker for CJ.
thebug Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Anybody check out the video at the Bills web site? Click on his video the dude can play (and in the snow).
Kelly the Dog Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Anybody check out the video at the Bills web site? Click on his video the dude can play (and in the snow). The interview with him was interesting. No wonder he didnt put up any numbers. He was a small RB in high school until he played WR only his senior season. Wasn't highly recruited by anyone. Went to UConn on an academic scholarship and didnt play sports as a freshman. Decided he missed football so he was a walk-on on the team. Then worked his way up and when he finally got a chance to play, exploded. Kind of a cool story.

We might have found something? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1277467 I like the video of him catching the ball in the snow. If we works hard he definitely has a chance to play Wide out with our weak core.

NixFan Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 This is where scouts make their money. None of us have heard of him. It's nice to have the name recognition of your pick and have a little media hype behind the pick. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see with this guy. Speak for yourself sir lol

Josh Reed's blocking was vastly under-appreciated and Easley will likely see the field a lot (perhaps more than Hardy) this year if he can contribute in the running game and make a few catches along the way...
