Alaska Darin Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Yeah, like we don't have reason to be skeptical given past history Whose past history? Neither guy running this draft has ever picked anyone for the Buffalo Bills.
Doc Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Whose past history? Neither guy running this draft has ever picked anyone for the Buffalo Bills. Ralph Wilson runs every Bills draft. Haven't you heard?
Art in PNS Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Name them. Playmaker on Offense Check Nose Tackle Check Offensive line TBD QB Jarrett BrownI think LB TBD WR TBD It's only the second round.
BenchBledsoe Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Whose past history? Neither guy running this draft has ever picked anyone for the Buffalo Bills. I realize that this is Nix's draft. My point is that we've been conditioned to be leery around these parts.
Gotta Dream Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I don't think this guy was a reach. He looks HUGE. I like it! Small=bad in football. We need big and mean on defense, he looks like both! Are you being serious, or sarcastic?
Alaska Darin Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I realize that this is Nix's draft. My point is that we've been conditioned to be leery around these parts. Then why bother being a fan? You're pretty much always going to be miserable and there's nothing you can do to change what's happening.
BenchBledsoe Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Name them. Al Groh at Virginia is famous for it. . . and Washington did this year for the first time. But you're right, not many do run it. I just Googled it and only a handful of teams run it.
Chilly Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 They really don't. It's more of a hybrid that changes based on formation. Texas more regularly plays a traditional 34 than Alabama does. 2 schools that play it more often doesn't change the point that the guy we drafted HAS NEVER PLAYED the 34 or the point that it's difficult to project an NFL NT based on how colleges play defense. We play the 3-4?
BenchBledsoe Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Then why bother being a fan? You're pretty much always going to be miserable and there's nothing you can do to change what's happening. Yep, I've had accept it: It is what it is.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I'm telling you guys, Clausen is going to make ALOT of teams in the NFL wish they had picked him. Drew Brees all over again.
DarthICE Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Whose past history? Neither guy running this draft has ever picked anyone for the Buffalo Bills. Thank you! Ralph is staying out of it for once, this is all Nix's draft. I wish fans would get more educated
Doc Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Thank you! Ralph is staying out of it for once, this is all Nix's draft. I wish fans would get more educated
outsidethebox Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Thank you! Ralph is staying out of it for once, this is all Nix's draft. I wish fans would get more educated How do you know that?
BenchBledsoe Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Thank you! Ralph is staying out of it for once, this is all Nix's draft. I wish fans would get more educated I just posted that I knew this is Nix's draft. It doesn't change the fact that much of the fan base feels a little leery and gun shy about this team's moves, based largely on historical failures
Max Fischer Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Drew Brees all over again. Even so, that means his SECOND team will benefit.
Alaska Darin Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Al Groh at Virginia is famous for it. . . and Washington did this year for the first time. But you're right, not many do run it. I just Googled it and only a handful of teams run it. And I can't recall UVA ever sending an NT to the NFL (I could be wrong). Chris Long was a DE and plays in the 43 in St Louis. I think George Young said it best (paraphrased): If you find a guy who is athletic and over 300 pounds, you pick him.
MDH Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Even so, that means his SECOND team will benefit. Brees matured into a top tier QB before he left SD.
