Chalkie Gerzowski Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I think Lou Saban panicked, taking the kid from Florida. "Ralphie, Saban doesn't coach them". I think Buster Ramsey panicked...
Rockinon Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I think Lou Saban panicked, taking the kid from Florida. "Ralphie, Saban doesn't coach them". I think Buster Ramsey panicked... Did you notice the last sentence that the writer couldn't help sticking in there?
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Did you notice the last sentence that the writer couldn't help sticking in there? LOL, yeah I did. Poor Ralphie, reminds me of Young Mr. Grace.
DarthICE Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 ****.... "I think he was the best player in the draft,'' Wilson said. "We've been dull for 10 years . . . no excitement. We've got to create some excitement.'' When it's time to negotiate a contract, Spiller's agent may remind Wilson that he thought Spiller was the best player in the draft.
RealityCheck Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I just hope that they sign this kid on time and get him into camp without any distractions. That Maybin nonsense last year didn't help anyone.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Anyways, FWIW, Denver gave up #43, #70, and and #114 for the right to draft Tebow at #25. On top of that, Denver may have had to throw in that #4 (114) due to the belief that the Bills were vying for the pick. That would be great if they overpaid on account of us.
John Cocktosten Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I wonder if Denver wants to comment on the Bills #1 pick last year.
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Did you notice the last sentence that the writer couldn't help sticking in there? I thought it was funny. Because I could see Spiller's agent mentioning it and Nix telling him "I agree, but he gets 9th overall money. Sorry."

Anyways, just did the accounting: #25=720 pts #43=470 pts #70=240 pts #114=66 pts. The #25 pick is 720 pts. The sum of the three picks is 776 pts. Based on that, it was roughly a fair trade for both teams.
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It was "fair" points-wise (although that points chart is wholly subjective). Whether it truly is "fair" depends on whether Tebow becomes a good QB or not.
Rico Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I wonder if Denver wants to comment on the Bills #1 pick last year.
HelloNewman Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I hardly think ralph is in any position to criticize any other team about their drafting
Bill from NYC Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 "Exiciting" = Ticket Seller to Ralph. This pick was far more about profit than winning football games.
Logical Reasoning Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 The guys a hall of famer and a great person because we all know that he could he moved the Bills, but those comments were unnecessary and foolish. Losman and McCargo weren't panic picks??
John Cocktosten Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It's kind of like a fat guy making fun of a fat guy.

That explains the Bills cellar dwelling right there. Meddling owner drafting who HE THINKs is the best player in the draft, when in reality he isnt even the best RB. What a joke. Hey Ralph, ever wonder why the Bills NEVER WIN?

Don Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I just hope that they sign this kid on time and get him into camp without any distractions. That Maybin nonsense last year didn't help anyone. As far as I've heard, this is a great kid who was honor roll and very grounded so hopefully that holds up and he can be an example to some of these so called players on the team

Merge or delete please. the scary thing is the implication that rw is intimately involved in draft decisions again this time. the more things change...
