Coach55 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 With the addition of Spiller into the backfield, could Fred Jackson be moved out to WR? Last year they used him spread a fair amount of time and coaches stated "he was one of the best route runners they had". He clearly has hands and is very versatile. Given our "loaded" backfield and questionable WR depth - I could forsee Gailey featuring Spiller and find a way to keep Jackson on the field. Thoughts?
scribo Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 That's the great thing about our trio of RBs, each of them can be dangerous no matter where they line up.
Cson76 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 one of the first well thought out posts. Nice job. Spiller is also versitile and can line up at WR, but probably not as a rookie
RealityCheck Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Anything is possible at this point. If the Bills can improve their 3rd down blitz pickup alone at the rb position I would be happy. We had some key drives stall last year not because of the o-line on those specific plays but at the rbs avoiding contact when they are supposed to be blocking. I like Jackson game alot, but his blocking makes me ill.

I'm not quite sure that the drafting of a rookie RB will turn around one of the NFL's most moribund offenses and somehow make it into some kind of powerhouse...
BBills14 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Fred Jackson reminds me a lot of Josh Reed did a few years back. He will make the catch and break a lot of tackles. Without Reed and with Spiller, I'm not opposed!
Conch Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 That's the great thing about our trio of RBs, each of them can be dangerous no matter where they line up. Especially in Seattle's backfield.
Conch Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Jackson as a WR. Are you completely nuts? The man is a running back.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 That's the great thing about our trio of RBs, each of them can be dangerous no matter where they line up. Lynch is a threat every time he lines up on Delaware Avenue.

Coach55 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Huh? He's a running back. Think outside the box. And George Wilson is a WR, Eric Wood is a Center, Nic Harris is a Safety and Jairus Byrd is a CB.

Because he's a running back and you can also throw him passes. "He clearly does have hands". Right. And left.
