MattyT Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 So they tried to move up but it wasn't to take Tebow. My faith is restored.
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 So they tried to move up but it wasn't to take Tebow. My faith is restored. Why?
NY Nole Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Anyone care to guess which player the Bills DID actually try to move up and get? I'm thinking Dan Williams. I give Buddy this, he is much more direct about telling you things than other GM-types have been in the past.
BarkLessWagMore Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Chris Brown with Nix (video) Â Tried to move up..hmmm. The more I hear of Buddy, the more I like him. A very straight shooter with no other agenda other than to make the Bills a winner again. Pass the kool-aid. I love the Spiller pick and can't wait to see the rest of the draft.
MattyT Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Why? Well I guess that depends on who they were trying to move up for, but since I don't know I'm giving them a clean slate.
CodeMonkey Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 So Nix claims he never had any plans to make any kind of play for Tebow. Assuming that's true and not a smokescreen color me even more confused over Spiller at #9. Â Ahhh well Buddy it is your team now. Go prove me wrong.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I wonder if that player is still on the board? Â Â Buddy said he was gone
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Well I guess that depends on who they were trying to move up for, but since I don't know I'm giving them a clean slate. I don't see why you'd be upset over moving up for Tebow and not getting him, versus another player.
Kingfish Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I wonder if that player is still on the board? Â I'm not sure if when Buddy said "but he was gone" if that meant Tebow or the player that they wanted? If he means Tebow I bet they were trying to get in front of Indy to take one of the LT prospects.
Casey D Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I wonder if that player is still on the board? He said he was taken, so they did not move up...
CodeMonkey Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Anyone care to guess which player the Bills DID actually try to move up and get? I'm thinking Dan Williams. Could have been any of the top 4. There was serious talent up there.
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 So Nix claims he never had any plans to make any kind of play for Tebow. Assuming that's true and not a smokescreen color me even more confused over Spiller at #9. Reports are the Bills only had 1 QB rated a 1st rounder. Along with 2 OT's rated as first rounders. And they pounced on Spiller when they had the chance. Not really confusing.
MattyT Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I don't see why you'd be upset over moving up for Tebow and not getting him, versus another player. I was not upset that they didn't get him. Actually very pleased.
Doc Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I was not upset that they didn't get him. Actually very pleased. You were upset that they tried? Because it would have been a bad move? If so, then I can see your point and I agree.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 or this could just as well mean that we're planning on going with our second choice at QB, but we want the kid to feel like he was who we wanted all along...
Biscuit97 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Well I guess that depends on who they were trying to move up for, but since I don't know I'm giving them a clean slate. it was dez bryant
