Also in 1979 The Green Bay Packers took a RB with their first two picks: #15 Eddie Lee Ivery, #44 Steve Atkins In 1983 the order of first round Quarterbacks drafted went; Pick #1 John Elway (Baltimore Colts), #7 Todd Blackledge, #14 Jim Kelly, #15 Tony Eason, #24 Ken O'Brien, #27 Dan Marino. In 1988 Thurman Thomas was the 40th player taken in the draft. (Buffalo's first pick in that draft.)
