billieve420 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If the Bills are willing to trade back for Tebow and select him in the 1st. Then they better be willing to trade down from #9 to pick up a extra 2nd round pick. Makes no sense to be reaching for a guy no matter how much they like him.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I can see it happening as well. Turning down the opportunity to attend the draft (despite his excuse about grandpa) suggests his agent knows he's falling down the board... I didnt even know that Clausen wont be attending
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 we agree on that you do love his hair though, don't you? it is very Fabioesque. He should do shampoo commercials lol
Lurker Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I didnt even know that Clausen wont be attending Yep, Tebow either...

Finding a trade partner is the only problem. I wish this would turn out to be a viable option. I hope they don't pick #9 then trade up. I have seen Buffalo do that in the past and end up losing an additional pick. Just don't like like that method.
BillsfaninSixburgh Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Conversely, what would Big Ben have become with Jauron as his QB? (That was a rhetorical question - we all know the answer - An obscure rapist!)
stinky finger Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 No way Tebow goes before Clausen. I'm not paid to analyze football, but I would be willing to bet that Clausen goes in the top-10 tonight. Neither am I. Aaron Rodgers.
Magox Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Take Clausen at #9 PAH-Lease!!! If Clausen doesn't get drafted from the Bills at #9 he could slip, it may not be a bad idea to trade back into the 1st round IF they believe he can be the guy.
Tortured Soul Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Conversely, what would Big Ben have become with Jauron as his QB? (That was a rhetorical question - we all know the answer - An obscure rapist!) Who says we ever would have moved on from Donahoe/Mularkey?
bourbonboy Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I don't know if anyone caught it, but one of Mike and Mike's guests this morning (forget who) mentioned that Philly was looking to trade up...a Bills-Eagles swap of #1's with extra picks (2nd and more?) wouldn't be a bad thing.

richNjoisy Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The Bills usually lose on moves like that. The best deal I can remember was with Tampa when they traded up to grab the top tackle....I forget his name but he ended up a bust - the Bills got Travis Henry with the extra pick and nabbed Nate Clements with the Tampa pick. so it HAS worked before.......
dpberr Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 In the Sirius NFL radio mock draft last night, Clausen fell to 38 and Tebow didn't even go in the top two rounds. Really? Mel Kiper would spontaneously combust if that happened.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I am absolutely convinced the Bills will trade back into the first round again this year.
Brand J Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The best deal I can remember was with Tampa when they traded up to grab the top tackle....I forget his name but he ended up a bust - the Bills got Travis Henry with the extra pick and nabbed Nate Clements with the Tampa pick. so it HAS worked before....... Kenyatta Walker I believe. Everyone on this board (including myself) was hoping that he would fall to our pick - and he did - so it was mystifying at the time that the Bills traded back. By far, Donahoe's best call!
NyQuil Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If Tebow is still on the board in the second round or if he is on the board and the Bills all of the sudden trade up he will be taken. I don't know how shocked I would be at them taking him at 9. I don't want that to happen but its definately possible.
sharpy Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Now Mike and Mike have stated Clausen could slip to 30. makes sense, since the vikings pick is at #30
CardinalScotts Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Awesome. The 'trading back into the first round' strategy has been a cornerstone of the Bills draft day success for the past decade. too funny and too accurate.....but this is new beginning with an actual football man in charge tonight my football team gets better
