VanCity Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Looks like they got some opening day insurance.... or maybe a vet to hold the reins after Big ben is traded and they draft his replacement. Discuss.... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5119960
VanCity Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Batch is definitely a third stringer and is well past his "prime". Byron has run the offense in Pitt before and gives them a quality option not found on their roster presently. He wasn't bad last year in limited playing time backing up Freeman in TBay. I'd consider this an intelligent move by the Steelers.
