EZC-Boston Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Watching the game we were just laughing as he used the term "undersung", called Henry's number after he was carried off the field, etc. etc.
bartshan-83 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Watching the game we were just laughing as he used the term "undersung", called Henry's number after he was carried off the field, etc. etc. 137210 I was gonna post something about that. I thought he was drunk. Game seems to be passing him by....
OnTheRocks Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 i have though that he is one of the worst announcers on network TV for a very long time. i would tell you how many times he mistaklenly called Willis - Travis.....but i can't count that high. (in my best Jim Rome voice imitating Bill Walton) He is HOOOOORRRRRIBLE.
Thailog80 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Bledsoe has thrown 27 Ints? While at times it fells like it I somehow think that might be over two seasons Don.
rockpile Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I had to watch the game on tape delay again so I did not have the option of switching to the radio broadcast. Criqui is the Al DeRogatis of the new millenium.
Fezmid Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 You weren't the only one; we were posting about it during the game as well. It was *bad*. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=11050 Tasker wasn't that great either. At the end of the first half, with DB driving down the field, Tasker said, "The Bills can run two plays here if they work quickly." Ummm Steve, it was 3rd down.... Thanksgiving hangover? CW
DPR4444 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 "Antonio" Winfield had to be the best. he doesn't look Italian!
Mark VI Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 He was indeed bad. A Ken-Ton ( Buffalo area ) guy. Grad. of St. Joe's. Huge Bills fan. Just seems completely confused with names and obviously has bad eyesight. A younger version of Van.
Greg de'Ville Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 ...those yahoos who did the SU-BC game Saturday were putrid. You'd think ABC could find better guys than that.
Beerball Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 He was at his worst, and for Criqui that's saying alot. TH is carted off the field and he's sill calling his number. Sad. Tasker on the other hand had what I would call a very good game.
GG Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 "Antonio" Winfield had to be the best.he doesn't look Italian! 137310 Not only that, but he said that McGee was the reason Bills thought that Antinio was expendable. Is that why they had the hard press on for Vincent?
merlin Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 .... reminded me of Curt Gowdy the last couple of years he did play by play ... always seemed to get the Miami-Buffalo games in the early 90's when they meant something ... and usually couldn't remember which CITY the game was being played in, let alone players names, etc. It got to be pretty embarrasing just to listen to him.

You'd think ABC could find better guys than that. 137374 Oh MAN, they were dreadful, weren't they? If Jamal Anderson's hoping to make a second career out of broadcasting, I hope he saved a lot of money from his football days. The guys who do the local high school games are better than he was.....
UConn James Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 If you think he's bad during the regular season for players that anybody who's anybody knows, try watching him do all the Patriettes' preseason games (hey, it's football). Annoying voice, too. Maybe that's just me.
