BB27 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Do you feel that you would be doing justice by putting someone in jail for using something far safer than alcohol or tobacco? Yes, yes I do. And, prove it's far safer, you can't.
Magox Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Just wondering what people are doing for it. Anyone know of any special events going on in the Buffalo area? Don't you know that based on this posting on TBD, that you will ruin any possibility of becoming employed for any responsible, forward looking company?
DrDawkinstein Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Do you feel that you would be doing justice by putting someone in jail for using something far safer than alcohol or tobacco? oh boy, here we go....
DrDawkinstein Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 id just like to go on official internet message board record as saying: I will NOT be leaving work early to get home around 4pm. and I will NOT be smoking a fatty with friends. Nope. Not me.
Stl Bills Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Yes, yes I do. And, prove it's far safer, you can't. Bah Hum Bug to you too.....you're like the Scrooge of 420 . Anyway, I quit smoking about a year and a half ago, but after about a solid 12-15 years of experience when it come to booze and pot I can guarantee it's MUCH safer than alcohol.

Nothing like personal experience to back up a claim that it is so much safer. Also, you don't see the side of drugs that I see, which is usually an infant in a dirty diaper which mom/dad (if you can call them that) can't afford to change because they spend it all on dope.

On weed? I've met about every type of weedsmoker in my day and not one would make weed a priority over their kids, most just gave it up when they had kids. On the other hand, I've known more than one person in my life who would put alcohol before all else and has had alcohol completely destroy their lives. Also, how many weedheads you know that get too high and get out of control and end up beating the crap out of there wives and kids? How many alcoholics?
CountDorkula Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Going to work and being a productive member of society. I might drop some acid too. Add me to this list, minus the acid drop, and add "watch playoff hockey!"
Jon in Pasadena Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I did a lot of stupid crap in college, but nothing came close to the fun of psilocybin. Sorry to hear that. You should have gone to a co-educational college!
Fingon Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Yes, yes I do. And, prove it's far safer, you can't. Sure I can. Alcohol is the 3rd leading preventable cause of death in the US at 75,000 people a year http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6089353 Marijuana has never killed anyone. Hell, it doesn't even cause cancer http://www.webmd.com/lung-cancer/news/2006...-to-lung-cancer There is not one confirmed death from the use of marijuana. Not one.

Not one. while i can appreciate your effort, there is no use arguing with BB27 on this as he is not arguing facts. he's simply arguing LAW. given his career/position, it is not up to him to determine the laws, he's just enforcing them. no matter how stupid, or based on ignorance they are. it's not BB27's fault. it may be a little narrow-minded to take his point of view, and it may even be flat out incorrect, but he's just doing a soldier's job.
stuckincincy Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 What's on 4/20? Is it some sort of holiday? I don't know. It's the day after the Lexington and Concord battles on 19 April 1775 that initiated our Revolutionary War.

Not one. use, no, no deaths there, but growing, production, and trafficking, you bet there are. and as a contributing factor, MJ has certainly been a contributing factor in many deaths, just not THE cause. it's illegal for a reason, maybe not the best reason, but a reason, none the less.

BECAUSE the entire industry is handled by drug cartels. if you wanted to take away all the power from the cartels, and stop those deaths, you simply legalize it. http://www.suntimes.com/news/huntley/21291...-HUNT30.article http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/v...ldez15-vip.html

DrDawkinstein Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 its not that easy to legalize it, thats a big problem, its a complex process, which unfortunately has not even come close to being started you need to visit Oakland. or as they call it, "Oaksterdam". California and Colorado are almost there. or at least much closer than anywhere else. but you dont argue against the fact that those deaths are being CAUSED by it being illegal?
