I will never step foot in Detroit.

Never.

Then how do you know it's third world?

Granted I've never been to the third world. But compared to the rest of America, some of the parts of Detroit and DC that I've seen are worlds away

Yes.

I've also seen Escape From LA and Escape From NY and even tho I have never been to either, I doubt either city is really like that

I was joking.

Really?

Although I will admit Peter Weller has very good historical credentials, Robocop doesn't quite compare to some of his other works like Engineering An Empire

Not even 6 months ago, Detroit was ranked one of the safest cities in the US:

Forbes: Detroit Among Safest Cities

Detroit Takes 12th Place On List Of 40 Cities

POSTED: Wednesday, October 28, 2009UPDATED: 3:46 pm EDT October 28, 2009DETROIT -- The editors of Forbes Magazine have placed Detroit on their newest list of America's Safest Cities.

In April the magazine rated Detroit as the United States' most dangerous city, according to data that said the city has 1,220 violent crimes committed per 100,000 people.

But Monday, the magazine ranked Detroit 12th out of 40 cities that had the lowest rates of violent crime, workplace deaths, fatal crashes and natural disasters.

Minneapolis and Milwaukee are the nation's two safest cities, according to the magazine.

Detroit's ranking is higher than cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, which rank 15 and 19.
