Thoner7 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 The tackles according to Jamie Davis - via NFLN Top 5: A. Davis Okung T. Williams Bulaga Campbell How he sees them drafted Okung - Skins Bulaga - Chiefs T. Williams - Seattle Campbell - Oakland Davis - SF "Bulaga will get better, not strictly a RT - but may need to help him out [chipping with a RB] vrs a D. Ware, but he is a guy you want on your football team." "Campbell is a speciman. He could last till the 30s if the Raiders pass on him. Not a bad football player but needs work. Needs to bend his knees - needs more work than the others" "Ducasse is a G, needs lots of work to play at T, could become a RT though." Ironically the guys he seemed to like best, Davis and Williams, are the two I like the least. There was no mention about Tony Washington, I guy I have heard some guys raving about and who I would really like us to draft.
Doc Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Again, what are Dukes' qualifications to BE on NFLN, much less be a draft expert?
Thoner7 Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 None Really. But he did play OL in the NFL for a while
Fastro Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 None Really. But he did play OL in the NFL for a while 10 years according to the show and it mentioned he watches a lot of tape!
bananathumb Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Dukes has played the position in the league, so I think that would make him a better judge of OT talent than, say, ALL of us. I haven't seen Okung play, but have watched Davis and he is ridiculously talented, so I don't argue with Dukes' ranking of the five. Certainly wouldn't mind it if we selected him at #9.
Beerball Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Dukes has played the position in the league, so I think that would make him a better judge of OT talent than, say, ALL of us. Yeah, pretty much. For those who saw the segment...Dukes didn't have anything to say about Davis?
Buffaloed in Pa Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Yeah, pretty much. For those who saw the segment...Dukes didn't have anything to say about Davis? He said he was a mauler type in the running game. Buffalo`s type of game in the cold windy Ralph in Dec.
Picnic Table F'er Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Again, what are Dukes' qualifications to BE on NFLN, much less be a draft expert? Yes, I wonder the same.
DreamOnDan Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 The more I think about it the more I like Davis. If we are really gonna be a run the ball stop the run team then Davis is probably our best fit. He is the only Mauler in this class at LT
