KD in CA Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I spent a few minutes on the tubes while eating lunch looking at this site. From what I could figure: --You must purchase chits in advance --You then spend your chits by 'bidding' on items. Every bid costs you more chits. --Every bid extends the duration of the auction, so theoretically it could go on forever (while you and others keep spending your chits running up the price). --It sounds like they have bots or employees bidding up the prices and/or just winning the auctions. End result: you didn't win the auction but used all the chits that you bought. Not a bad idea for a web scam, but there are more red flags here than in an email from an exiled Nigerian.
Just Jack Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Not a bad idea for a web scam, but there are more red flags here than in an email from an exiled Nigerian. I've heard about those Nigerians. Good thing I'm sticking with US soliders trying to smuggle Saddams millions out of Iraq.
