I thought you couldn't sue the government...

First they bankrupt the US automakers with all their demands, then they !@#$ over the bondholders, then they take part ownership of GM, then they want to sue the US taxpayers who helped them !@#$ over the bondholders.

Brilliant!!

They're suing their own company? Wow, these unions are pretty ruthless.

I am sure family gets sued all the time...

Your stupidity is showing.

What do you mean by "their own company?" (sure they may have part ownership...who cares)

The UAW has workers at Ford and Chrysler too... And a whole bunch of other companies in many different industries. I know you are a dumbass, but I didn't think you were that dumb. So I guess all these companies are one:

UAW made products

2010 UAW built cars, trucks, & SUV's

The Toyota Corolla, ones built in the US, are made by UAW members... Does that mean Toyota is "their company?" :wallbash:0:)

Wow, I'm amazed how one little comment has your boa all fluffled up, Oprah.

Besides, it's not like the government gave over 17% of GM to UAW's health care trust when it took it over or anything. That would make this really bizarre.

No. It's not that bizarre. They're just suing a company for which they have part ownership. But' y'know, as you stated, "...who cares." Why would anyone care about that idiocy?

And I'm the dumbass. 0:) 0:)

Giving the UAW an ownership stake in GM was part of the bankruptcy deal.

Really...if I take myself too seriously, maybe you should take yourself a little more seriously and at least try to do some research and get ONE basic fact straight before you post. "It's just a message board" is a poor excuse for going out of your way to look foolish.

Sure you can.

The Corps lost for the first time ever:

Katrina

Also, Tell that to the 12 states claiming suit against the US on the healthcare bill.

The states are suing on a constitutional point of law - which happens all the time.

Traditionally, you can't sue a government entity for negligence...the USACE Katrina was something of a precedent in that regard (and one I think never should have been heard - if they wanted to sue someone, they should have sued the congressional bozos who left USACE perennially underfunded).

Underfunded down there in NOLA? Ha! Good one... They had some serious pet projects going on. I can just imagine where the dough would have been funneled had they had more... :wallbash: I said it before the storm, during and after... They should swing for their actions. And yes, i work for them. 0:)

Then why do you bring up Ford and Toyota as examples? B-)

Like duh... :) The UAW has workers in those companies too.

Like I said... People sue family all the time... Who cares...

Once again, non-issues by people who like to hone in non-issues.

GM is the gov't! GM is the gov't! Suit against your own company! Suit against your own company!

:)

GM actually IS the government. More than 17% of GM actually IS owned by UAW, so UAW actually IS suing itself, and your casually shrugging off this ridiculous and embarrassing level of union idiocy doesn't suddenly make it any less ridiculous or embarrassing to anyone other than yourself...and probably pBills. And Conner.

Do you understand the difference between working for a company and having a stake in one? B-)
