Nanker Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 At least he woke up. That's more than you could say for the Polish President.
BarkLessWagMore Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 At least he woke up.That's more than you could say for the Polish President. Wow, bad taste.
KD in CA Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 At least he woke up.That's more than you could say for the Polish President. Putin is leading the investigation?? He's probably the one who arranged the crash. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/04...m?section=world

Chef Jim Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Damn I wish I could sleep that soundly on a plane.
Corp000085 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I would have stayed on and raided the liquor cabinet in the galley. I'm sure the mechanic would have turned a blind eye.
Phlegm Alley Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Similar situation happened to me. I fell asleep on a NJ Transit train from NYC bound for Trenton and was awoken by a guy in the NJ Transit train yard in Norristown, PA. I was kinda f'ed.
BuffaloBill Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I hear about the story on NPR this morning. I had to laugh because it sounds like something my wife could do. When she goes out on an airplane it is a near death experience for her.
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Maybe they tried to wake 'em up and couldn't and said: "Eff it!" and went home. Working the graveyard shifts... I have known some people @ work that you just can't wake up... I ended up locking tows all by myself. Usually those types of personalities get all huffy when they find out what happened... I stop short of saying: "Look douchebag, I am not your mother or the snooze button."
HelloNewman Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 20% off the next flight, gee whiz thanks. Yeah...god forbid he should take any responsibility for his oversleeping. The airline should hold his hand too.

Passing out drunk on the late train home from NYC doesn't count.
