Magox
Well obviously I got the meaning from the context, but as to the exact definition, yes. I have no inferiority complex with regard to my vocabulary, I realize that don't I know everything and I'm never afraid to admit what I don't know. But that's just me... No offense intended, "generally" speaking you seem like a pretty bright guy, I was just a little surprised that you looked up that word for the meaning, that's all. edit: I come from a latin back ground, so the word odio in spanish means hate, so I guess from my perspective it seemed obvious. I think Frenkle comes from a Sunday comics background where the word "Odie" typically translates to "favorite stooge of troublesome cat Garfield," and I'm sure he was just confused how that fit into the original context of finknottle's post. Which is both closer and better than Oedipus, motherfoker.
DC Tom
[...] Oedipus, motherfoker. Well, that's a little ironic.
Gene Frenkle
Well, that's a little ironic. Kind of the point. I wasn't really calling LABillz a motherfoker. Whether he is one or not is another conversation.
Jim in Anchorage
I'm ashamed to say I had to look up 'odious', but in doing so I think I've finally found a word which personifies what I'm all about. I am afraid I have to agree. At first glance I thought it had something to do with body odor

I've been a motherfoker since my freshman year in college, and remain one to this day provided my wife is not too tired.

Keukasmallies
Gingrich is an "incumbent" of sorts; I don't vote for incumbents; Therefore, I won't vote for Gingrich.
Jim in Anchorage
Still in the mix. Should be interesting "I've never been this serious," Gingrich said.
