billsfan89 Posted April 6, 2010 Share Posted April 6, 2010 Just watching the Colbert Report and they had a guest on that created a robotic arm for amputees and it simply blew my mind. They showed a guy using it and it was simply astounding. I have seen robotic arms before but they always seemed to either be weak or slow or have control issues. This one seemed to have a truly workable full range of motion and control. Its almost like we aren't that far from the Luke Skywalker hand in Star Wars. Too bad people treat it like a joke. He also built a portable dialysis machine, a wheelchair that stands up and climbs stairs, and a bunch of other amazing stuff.
