Did anyone see Obama's first pitch?

Hey, if I was Prez I would wear my Buffalo gear wherever I went. It's not like he hides his White Sox love. Good for him that he's a fan.

Exactly. If any of us became president(yeah right) and we flipped the coin at a skins game wouldn't you throw on your Bills cap? Especially if you were stuck wearing a skins coat.

And that my friends is the type of President we have. It's all about him isn't it. Not the tens of thousands of fans that came to see THEIR team.

No way dude. If you're President you have 50% of the population that hates your guts. You don't need the other 50% feeling sorry for you.

If you really want a good laugh, look at this quick video showing the difference between a pitch by Bush and a pitch by Obama.

And look, I get it, this has nothing to do with being president. But I almost wet myself watching the last part of the video. Funny stuff.

Bush finished his high school years at Phillips Academy, a boarding school (then all-male) in Andover, Massachusetts, where he played baseball and during his senior year was the head cheerleader.

personally i think its great....its refreshing to see people that are held up in such esteem show their 'human' side...he's a fan and its nice to see him act like a fan....good for him..... ...and this from an obama basher.....

I'm not really a huge fan of our current POTUSA but I thought it was kind of shrewd putting on a Whitesox hat before the first pitch.

:flirt: Huh? You gotta be joking.

Like it or not... BFLO is a lot like Chicago in this mentaility (BO wearing a Sox hat)... BFLO being a little clone of Chicago. It is what makes both places such great "home towns." I do favor the Sox because I am on the South Side/NW Indiana area. Probably the only team I feel attached to because BFLO doesn't have a MLB team.

A bit of a tangent... Maybe the dolt Red Sox fans out there will think he was wearing their hat! One time I was walking through NH's Manchester airport wearing a classic ChiSox hat (black with the gothic "SOX.") and I overheard a a young lady asking her male partner: "Look at that Red Sox hat. I never seen that one before, what kind is that?" The guy just grumbled and got all huffy.

Obama's no more a fan of the White Sox than you or me. I heard him interviewed by the guys calling the game. After telling them he's an "old South Side boy" who loves the blue collar nature of the Sox, they asked him "Who was your favorite White Sox player," and he went completely dead. He couldn't even fake an answer. He was so stumped by the question, you'd have thought it was asked by Sarah Palin. Once he recovered with a couple of "Well, look..." he started yapping about how he was actually from Hawaii and used to follow the As, and then he moved to Chicago, and then he mumbled something about the old Comisky Field...and as soon as he mentioned Comisky, the baseball guys all mumbled with nostalgia like old Bills fans reminiscing about the Rockpile.

"Yes, yes....Comisky...yes."

I'll find it when I have more time, but he's completely faking it. I've seen 1980s porn where chicks actually fake their enjoyment of sex better than he can fake his White Sox fandom.

And look, I don't care if he's a fan or not. But you simply can not fake being a fan these days. You can't. And that's what he's trying to do.

I remember a Dennis Miller interview when it was announced he was going to be in the booth for MNF. I'm a huge Miller fan, so I was surprised during some softball NFL interview when he was asked "So you must be a huge football fan, and this has to be a dream come true for you," and to my disappointment, he responded, "Not really. I like football. But this is just another gig to me. I'll try it. It'll work or it won't work, and then I'll move on to the next gig." Hated the answer. Loved the honesty.

I suspect Obama decided to be a White Sox fan because it helped him politically at the time (without thinking it through,) and now he has to keep it up once a year after throwing a Mary pitch every opening day.
