Steely Dan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I thought this might be helpful to the casual draftnik: Charles Alexander - LSU - 6'3" 300 Terrance Cody - Alabama - 6'3" 354 Brandon Deadrick - Alabama - 6'4" 296 (Also identified as a DLE) Travis Ivey - Maryland - 6'4" 341 Linval Joseph - East Carolina - 6'4" 328 Abe Koroma - Western Illinois - 6'3" 315 Jeff Owens - Georgia - 6'1" 304 (Also listed at 3T) Ndamukong Suh - Nebraska - 6'4" 307 (Also listed as DLE) Cam Thomas - North Carolina - 6'4" 330 Torrell Troup - Central Florida - 6'3" 314 Kade Weston - Georgia - 6'5" 317 Dan Williams - Tennessee - 6'2" 327 Al Woods - LSU - 6'3" 309
Mr. ChumChums Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I keep on reading everywhere that Lindval Joseph is a 34 DE...don't understand why.
Steely Dan Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 I keep on reading everywhere that Lindval Joseph is a 34 DE...don't understand why. Well the PFW Draft Preview lists him as a NT, TSN Draft 2010 lists him as a 3-4 NT or DE, the other books I have don't say or list him as a DE. The Pro Football Draft Guide 2010 says he plays to high to handle the nose. I've seen reports of him being 6'4" to 6'6" which is taller than most NT's. The Best seem to be in the 6'2" to 6'3" range. I think much taller than that can cause problems with leverage. 6'6" lends itself far more to being a DE. I never really noticed that a couple of other guides list him as a DE.
jangalang Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 It probably won't make a difference, but Deaderick never once lined up at NT for Alabama. It was either Cody, Chapman, or Murphy. Deaderick was more of a DE/OLB hybrid. From what I've seen, he's projected as a 5th-7th rounder.
